Do you watch a lot? What is your favorite show? Why do you like Television?

I watch very little in comparison to how much I used to.

Currently Futurama is my favorite show, Onyx Oblivion's avatar keeps reminding me of that fact.

I like it because it is entertainment that doesn't involve participation. Sure, I love gaming but sometimes I just want to sit, relax and literally lol a few times.

So Escapist, what are your thoughts on TV?

I only ever watch TV for the odd movie, Top Gear, and Ninja Warrior. Oh and South park I forgot to mention. Apart from those though, TV doesn't interest me too much..

The side TV is almost always on when I'm downstairs. Usually there is some sport on, Baseball, hockey, soccer, etc. I don't watch all that many real shows, but I do like watching Two and a Half Men and Family Guy. Laughter is good, and those shows I can listen to while doing other things. They don't require much concentration to enjoy, and that' why I like them.

Um, I don't really watch a lot. Mostly, I watch "Big Bang Theory", "In Session", "The Unit", and "True Blood". There are others but those were the first ones to come to mind.

I've got to admit, I watch my tv less and less nowadays. You see, alot of the shows I like are in America, and normally we have to wait about 3 weeks to get to the episode Americans just watched last night. I, as a fan of whatever show, want to watch it now.

I'll watch English shows on tv, but thats just because they will be there first, and I won't have to wait ages. Same with movies, I'll go see them in the cinema as we normally have only a day or two difference in release time, plus movies are just so much better to watch on a big screen for the first time.

Oh, aside from that I've recently watched the football (woo go england being rubbish) and sky movies/active. Got to love watching my movies on sky.

Otherwise, the tv itself is now relegated to a xbox vision device.

My tv's always on because the noise comforts me, not unlike a security blanket. But when I actually watch it, it's usually some documentary on the History or Discovery channel. Right now I'm watching a documentary on locks!

But I do like to go on Youtube and watch episodes of QI every so often. We don't get it here in America, so Youtube's the only way I can watch it. Go piracy!

I don't watch as much as I used to. Usually for specific shows like Doctor Who and Top gear (which starts again in a week, yay) and sometimes for some movies which might be on.

I'm spending even less time in front of the TV at the moment because the only things that are on are usually football related and I can't stand football.

I have a rule when it comes to TV. I will only watch it when it's somehow related to Charlie Brooker. Either something he's in, made, or recommended.

I'm convinced he's the only sane person on it.

In general though, I don't watch TV. Too many movies to watch.
May I trouble you for a High five good sir? Charlie Brooker is excellent!

OT: I don't really watch much TV nowadays, live anyway. If there is a show I want to watch, I'll Sky+ it and catch it later, so I can go out and do stuff whilst not missing out on good TV, like Doctor Who or Two and a Half Men or whatever, which always seem to be on at the only times I'm actually busy.

I watch it for the odd documentary, Top gear and Mythbusters. That's it, I used to watch a lot but I have almost completely stopped.

Can't say that I do.

I watch Scrubs, Family Guy and South Park (and Futurama of course) but that's about it

I only really watch TV for Top Gear, Mock The Week (COME BACK FRANKIE YOU BASTARD!!!), Q.I and whatever Dave shows.
Oh and Scrubs, I so very nearly forgot that.

But TV seems to be getting moved towards reality shows that are pointless.
Take the latest BB. Yes, it's the last one but does it need to be on for three fucking months? And do they need to show it at 1am to 6am? Most people fucking sleep then, what sort of person sits up, not blinking, watching that shit at 1 til 6am and hoping someone scratches their arse or a nipple slips out? They even block out the conversation at times so you can't hear anything good/'personal', for Gods sake. What's the point of putting so many people into a house, then blocking the chatter due to 'legal reasons/breach of privacy'? /mini-rant.

I do have a television, but only a xbox 360 is connected to it. I don't watch any television you can find almost everything on the internet and it bothers me less with stupid things that insult my IQcedoodledoo.

Nope. If I'm at home I'm permanently in my room on the PC. The TV offers nothing really interesting for me, though we tend to watch it at my girlfriends.

The great thing about having 2 monitors is that I can be doing uni work and have a program on the other screen, or I could be watching videos and be on forums, or I can play on my xbox and watch videos/read forums/talk on msn at the same time.

So if I was downstairs watching TV, I wouldn't last long without getting bored.

I love TV, and I watch it all the time. My favourite shows are probably Kenny vs Spenny, The Office, King of the Hill, and Futurama. I like it because it's a form of entertainment that my parents aren't bothered by.

Is Kenny vs. Spenny still running? I like it, but I don't know why.

The only show I really watch per schedule is Deadliest Warrior these days, with the odd SNL thrown in there, and a spattering of Law & Order, which was instilled into my mind as a youth.

There are other shows I like (House, Chuck, Boondocks, etc etc) but those shows I can only bring myself to watch from the beginning, so those get Netflix'd

They made a 6th season recently, but it's over now. No word as to whether or not it's coming back, but I hope so.
