Ok so last night, Family Guy's "Something, Something Darkside" premièred on British television. Now, I watched this on the internet a few months ago and I was shocked after watching it on TV to discover that they omit so much of the content, including some of the best jokes!
It just seems that so many good jokes from shows like Family Guy are cut when aired on television, yet programmes like South Park which, in my opinion, are more vulgar and to the edge, remain mostly uncut.
Does this happen in the States too? And why?
I would have thought that after 9, or even 10 o'clock when these programmes are aired, nothing should be uncut (unless of course it exceeds its like schedule, which this did not)
In "Something, Something Darkside", for example, the absolute hilarious scene where Han/Peter is about to be frozen, instead of "I love you" "Fuck off", it's now "I love you" "BEEEEEP" which completely takes away the edge. Likewise when Luke/Chris climbs up inside one of the walkers (I forget the actual name of them) and there is a foetus one in there, and he says "Come on, Luke, we're at war".
