I figured something like this would happen. I mean, calling it a "season" kind of assumes there's going to be more than one. I just hope they don't let season one end on some kind of awful cliffhanger, like they keep doing with the TV show.
That is something that the game does right, it does not end episodes on big cliffhangers. It ends on ones that are interesting, but not asspulls. They wrap up the story they started and leave us a little something to whet our appetites for the next episode.

I'm really starting to dislike the TV series more and more.
To be honest, I'm rather OK with the show's cliffhangers. Like the one at the end of episode one, first season, was fantastic and really did a great job at pulling you in. I'm just a little riled up at how they ended season 2. I haven't read the comic books so I have no idea what that big building is or who the samurai is that saved Andrea. Still, at least it's not as bad as Game of Thrones.
For a first episode such a cliffhanger can be excused. But a cliffhanger at the end of every episode gets annoying quickly. Especially when it's cheap.

The building is ***** and the samurai is ******. Mind blown, right?

Dammit. Worst news ever. This is one of Telltale's worst games.

PLEASE do another series of Sam&Max, Wallace & Gromit or Monkey Island but not this garbage.

The majority of those who have played the game will disagree with you.
Of course those were all fine games, but you have to learn to give things up and move on.
Such is life.
So Telltale have a choice between making people like you happy or making great games like the ones I mentioned. There's enough "push X to move story along" games out there, and games are getting easier and easier, what we need are more puzzles and good ones.

Have you played the game? Because you dismiss it as garbage without any solid reasoning.

So basically, Telltale have the choice of "making people like me happy", when the majority of those who have played the game find it very good, or making, in your eyes, "great games". I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but gaming is a business, so of course they'll do the former, because it makes them the most money.

And just for the record, The Walking Dead is a great game, maybe not the kind you like, but a great game regardless.
You want decent puzzle games? They're a dime a dozen. check out all the indie games that are out there. Failing that, go play some Zelda or some Portal.

I've played the first ep. Calling it a game seems overly generous. Calling it a 'game' connotates a challenge. Telltale's Sam & Max gave me that. Wallace & Gromit gave me that. I got no challenge in The Walking Dead, just an interactive visual novel that I participated in, like guiding the protagonist somewhere or tapping a key quickly to do something.

You know why TWD sells? Zombies. As it there aren't enough zombie movies, books and games out there we have to eliminate games with original subject matter to give people more of the same thing. But hey, it makes money so lets burn all the Shakespeare, Kafka and Balzac to make room for more teenage vampire love stories and 'seduced by the American millionaire' novels.
