So I'll be graduating college at the end of this month. Unfortunately, my field of study (Radio Broadcasting) is known for being hard to get a job in. With that said, I'll probably spend at least a month unable to get a job in the field. So until then, I'll need a job - something that requires very little training, that I can leave with little to no notice in advance (which is important because I don't know when I'll have a job).
A brief conversation with my roommate about my situation revealed to me the existence of temp agencies. I'm definitely not opposed to some demanding physical labour, so that kind of work seems like the best choice.
Anyone here have any experiences working for a temp agency? How was it? Were there long boring periods of time where you were expected to be fully alert despite not being given any work to do at the job for long periods of time? Hours after hours of carrying heavy objects in hot weather?
