Please list ten good Xbox 360 games that are not first person shooters nor horror-related.

Good generally means a game that would be worth owning, not quicky renting or anything like that. They can be kid games.

If necessary, feel free to dispute what is and isn't FPS or horror. Do so with a nice explanation. Also tell me why you feel the games are good, and which games are worth buying over others.

If someone doesn't actually read the thread and lists games that are FPS or horror, feel free to inform me.

These aren't in any order, just to clarify.

May I ask why? Also, do you mean only 360 exclusives, or just games that are on the 360?

They do not have to be 360 exclusive. And because I'm genuinely interested.

Maybe I should list 'shooter' in general instead of just fps. I didn't really want to see any shooters listed. Everyone does shooters. Oh well, I will see how the thread goes.

I'd throw Bioshock, Fallout 3 and Sacred 2 on that list. (Though I haven't played any of those on the 360, and my GF hasn't played Sacred 2 on it.)

Condemed was on the 360 and used copies are still floating around.

Alright, I made the first few ones that push the envelope, just to be annoying :)

1. Resident Evil 5- Play this game and tell me it's horror, I dare you

2. Mirror's Edge- Not FPS, FPP (First Person Parkour)

3. Fallout 3- Can be played in third person

4. Oblivion- Not really a shooter, can be played in third person

5. Music games (listing them as one to be fair)

6. Brutal Legend- Hack 'n Slash/RTS

7. Arkham Asylum- Scarecrow sections could be considered horror, but not the rest of the game

8. Splinter Cell Double Agent- Weakest of the series, but the only one that's actually out specifically for the 360 (others were original Xbox, so they can be played on a 360, but they're still not really for the 360)

9. Gears of War 2- Third Person Shooter

10. Dark Sector- It's good, despite what the naysayers say. Might not count; it's a Third Person Shooter with Horror Elements, but it's really neither an FPS nor Horror

1. Viva pinata (no accents, sorry) is good, don't let other people tell you otherwise.

2. Halo (Odst, or 3) (i still don't get the hate, the splitscreen kicks ass, i know it is first person, but it is the best splitscreen game there is)

3. Banjo kazooie: nuts and bolts

4.Gears of war (either, or both)

5.Star wars battlefront 2 (i know its an xbox origional, but screw that, this is fun. also splitscreen)

6.Fable 2

7.Forza 3

8.Saints row 2

9.GTA 4 (and expansions, and stories)

10. Red faction guerilla

Was RE5 anywhere near as brilliant as RE4? I love Resident Evil 4.

And I played SplinterCell DA. It was pretty weak.

As for your envelope pushing... Well... =P

On the by, thank you for giving descriptions.

Nice to see someone else enjoyed Brutal Legend, though I have to note that Resident Evil 5 is vastly inferior to Resident Evil 4. OP, if you have a Wii, check out either the GC RE4 or RE4:Wii Edition. You won't regret it (I hope. It's all down to personal taste in the end). If you really have to, though, then RE5 is worth checking out, but for the love of god, don't play on the hardest difficulty setting without co-opping with someone else good at the game unless you have a thing for controller-flinging frustration at crappy partner AI, dodgy QTE recognition and almost every half-decent enemy attack in the game sending you into a 'dying' state nearly instantly... and that's WITH armour.

As for the music games, I have to agree. I'm partial to Rock Band myself. I've heard very good things about Arkham Assylum, too. Ace Combat 6 might be a possibility if you're into flight sims, or H.A.W.X. (although I got that on the PC).

Also, yes, Fallout 3 can be played in third person, but you're generally much better off playing in first person. Same with Oblivion... plus, you won't have to subject yourself to your character's own stiff movement and jumping animations.

I can't really think of anything else besides that, sorry.

Never played RE4, but I'm gonna guess...no. I maintain the position that RE5 was the worst game I ever played, but I just couldn't stop playing it.

I know Double Agent was weak, that's why I said it was the worst of the series. If you can get the backward compatibility update (free with any sort of Live membership), get Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. It's widely (and rightly, in my opinion) considered the best of the series.

Yeah, I put a few on there just to push the envelope, but except RE5, I wasn't kidding when I said they were all good.

It is very good to see lists that have nothing to do with shooters in general.

Dare I ask, are there any rpgs worth listing?

I own ResiEvil4 for the Wii. And you are right, it is one of the best RE games, if not one of the best games, out there. How exactly is RE5 inferior? And is it still worth purchasing anyway?

Thank you for the heads up on Fallout 3 and Oblivion.
