So I'm finally here.
The 10k post mark.
You people said I couldn't do it.
"Daystar, you splendiferous hunk of man, nobody has ever made it to ten thousand posts and lived!"
I arrived here as a boy, and now stand here before you, as a man, nay, as a god! (just roll with it, I'll stop being lame soon, I promise).
I know what you're thinking. You're thinking you've seen several escapists with more than 10k posts.
Well they cheated with usergroups or something, so there. I've maybe posted in a usergroup a handful of times, so that makes me more special.
True story.
Okay, time for the serious part.
The escapist is the best internet community I've ever been a part of.
I'm not going to gush about how awesome this place is, that's not really my style, but I will say this.
I thank you, the escapist team, for creating a place of respite, a place I can rest my weary head in the thunderous ocean that is the internet, I thank you for creating a place of discussion free from most of the things I despise about other internet forums.
I thank you, the contributors to the site. Yahtzee, Jim, Gavin, Bob, Cory, Grey, LeeLee and the No Right Answer team. For giving me hours of thought provoking, hilarious and amazing content.
And I thank you, escapist community, for which none of the above would be possible without.
The guys above make this site a great place to visit.
But you guys make this a great place to stay.
It's been a pleasure.
