a few days ago i suddenly thought, hey i think i'm gonna go to g4s "x play" and check out what they thought of "tenchu z" (for some reason) because me and adam sessler seem to have similar opinions most of the time when it comes to games. unfortunately they gave the game a two... but any way before i make this a long topic...
i'm gonna play the game, i know this... but i've noticed on youtube that alot of people love the game, and when somebody gives it a bad review people freak out, which the only plausable complaint should be that the AI is veery stupid (which is easily fixed when you turn the difficulty up) besides "the graphics suck" comment, which is stupid because the graphics are fine and i think we're getting to spoiled as gammers, but that a totally different story... it's a ninja stealth game with a customizable character, what more do you want?
anyway, what do you think people? (if you didn't already leave once you saw how much i typed)

I think it's inpersonal. Might be a stupid critizism, but I just couldn't sympathize with any of the charachters. There was no storyline that compelled you, or motivated you to kill that perticular guy. The controls are useless, confusing, unlogical. For example: When using the grappling hook, you have to aim with the left stick (fairly reasonable, you might think) but for some reason you have to hold the stick down, making precise aiming impossible and therefore making the grappling hook useless. The customization is boring, the missions lasts a minute or two and the combat is so dull that I had to fire up my computer and play PoP:SoT so I could be spoiled with some good-quality combat.

I love the concept of it all, but it seems to me that they just screwed it up.

I don't like fifty missions with very little varied gameplay and the same scenery over and over again.

I think it's because it's been release with other forms of murder stelth games such as Hitman Blood Money and Assassins Creed so people will generally judge it off that.

I've played it and it has alot of things that sound great on paper (enemies can smell you, etc) but they never work out in the game.

First of all, you get the option of jungle camouflage in a game that's supposed to take place in Feudal Japan.

Second of all, the detection indicator is unwieldy and doesn't convey needed information quickly enough. The controls are also needlessly complicated.

Third, all the missions repeat multiple times; either to assasinate someone or to sneak across a border. There's no actual storyline, so it kind of feels like the VR mission expansion pack for the original Metal Gear Solid.

Of course, there are people who can overlook these problems and enjoy the game. I tried enjoying it, but I couldn't. It feels like a very good idea that was poorly conceived.

i will admit the game is simple but i've had absolutley no problems with the controls, and i have to say it's a ton of fun, i've beaten the whole thing, all 50 missions on easy, normal, and hard, but i'm still having alotta fun playing it, sure all the levels are kind of the same and they couldv'e put some more weapon choices and clothes in it. but overall it's a great game when nothing much is out. overall i'd call the game good but not great however you can put alotta time into it with two player co-op, it goes up to 4 but with 4 players on one level it really becomes no fun.

as for x-play, they suck big time, i hate everything about that show and the people on it. for their reviews it seems like they just trash the game nonstop and then give it 2 outa five no matter what game it is,unless it's one of the big really hyped titles then they say all good things, a few bad things, and give it a 5, when it comes to reveiws the only person i've ever agreed with almost all the time is yahtzee, other than him most people tend to review a game the way you review a movie, one time viewing, not expecting to ever play it again and nothing about the little in-game annoyances that yahtzee almost always mentions.
