sadly yes, most do not handle fame at an early age. and given how horrible hollywood is in general to people, and how they are used as meat to make money, it doesn't surprise me at all. Especially if it's something that nerds love, they will invariably go overboard with criticisms/obessions, and drive the people to mental issues and the like.
