Terms and agreements.

Basically i'm asking you fellow escapists do you read the terms and agreements which comes with what ever you may have purchased? If you do then why? and if you don't ... also why?

I personally never do but i think i really should as i could possibly be signing my soul over to EA or seomething. But they just make it so long and boring that i choose not to read.

I am new here and my this is my first thread, so please go easy on me, also helpful tips on how to make a good thread if you find this one to make your eyes bleed

It was not unlike haveing your brain sucked out your eyeballs.

Yeah you do find some alarming stuff as i did last time when i downloaded a DLC which in fact DIDN'T DOWNLOAD! and still won't!!! then i read that there are no refunds in the T&C's!!

So from now only i read before buy

I seem to recall with iTunes or some other soul gouging software that it makes you scroll through the TOS before being able to click "Agree".

Just as an on topic update - I used to work in a callcentre - People do NOT read their car insurance documents. Twas the cause of MANY an earache.

I do occasionally . Usually it's with something that's important to my future career, but sometimes it's because I don't trust the company too much (I once found a "sell your soul" clause in a Microsoft terms and agreements page for a version of Vista)

OT: Yes I've read a couple of them. This is actually kinda funny, I just got home from discussing copyright terms and agreements from my Uni not 30 mins ago.

First of all welcome to the escapist ,and seriously DON`T GO IN THE BASEMENT. that said.i always skim read t&c`s.But i feel that in PC gaming they`re a rip-off as you can`t take the game back once the seal has been broken and you can`t really see that particular game`s terms beforehand .so essetially when you buy a PC game you are accepting a contract you`ve never seen.And that annoys me to be honest

I don't care if it's Microsoft Word, or a new game. It's mine, I bought it, damnit. I'm not renting or leasing it, I'm not borrowing it, and I'm sure as hell not asking your permission.
