Ok i have a couple of questions regarding terraria

1. Where should i head to once i've conquered Eye of Cthulu?
2. Where does one look in which direction when you find out about a meteorite?
3. Is there any possible safe way of navigating the hellish looking layer of the map
4. Do i have to defeat that massive fuck-off skeleton boss to access the dungeon?
5. Other than being able to summon that devourer boss in the corruption is there anything else worth doing there?
6. where are all the bloody good items?
7. Where are the goblins? i want to get those bloody rocket boots. >.<
8. How much is needed for the gold chest plate
9. how do i go from gold to the next level of pickaxe?

I only ask these questions because i am really dumb at this game and beating Eye of Cthulu 5 times gets boring after a while. although i do admit after defeating it the first time the demonite bow really made things a lot easier.

so help? :3

EDIT: Thanks for the answers guys!! they really helped! while i still haven't picked up eater of worlds because he buggered off the second time i summoned him i have managed to get a space gun, and the full meteorite set. not bad? i got a goblin thing going but i had to leave half way. will they still be there once i load it up again?

7, I found mine on a floating island, the goblin army is a random event

As stated in answer one there is a Terraria wiki, http://wiki.terrariaonline.com/Terraria_Wiki, that houses every bit of info about the entire game including what drops what and what weapons work the best on what. The game gets kind of boring once you have everything.

1. Just keep expanding. More mines, more bosses, sell what you don't want, find and craft better weapons and armor, find corruption or jungle and explore.
2. Not sure if I understand, you just search around for it and if it hurts you when you touch it, it's meteorite(unless you've got an obsidian skull)

5. You can use it as a tool to build up rage before a fight if you fall down a hole and have to climb out.
6. Hidden from you to make sure you never find them.
7. Check the edges of the maps, and obtain 10 pieces of cloth from the goblin scouts that MIGHT be there, then craft them (forget where) and you can make a goblin flag that you can use to summon a horde.
8. A lot of gold.
9. Find the next level of material.

1. Nowhere. But feel free to summon him again. If you didn't know, 6 lenses from the Demon Eyes can be combined at a demon alter to make a summon item

2. It's random. You will be assaulted by meteorite heads when you are near. They stop spawning when most of the meteor material is gone

3. Find some of the flowers down there, and make a lava immunity potion. Also, 15 obsidian makes an item that allows you to not take damage from things like meteorite and hellstone

4. Yes. Ranged weapons are great for this, just as with The Eye

5. Destroying Shadow Orbs gets you some sweet items. Orbs of Light and Vilethorn Rods are some of my favorites.

6. You have to make them really. There are some good items you can find, but most of the time, you need to make them.

7. Random Spawn after you destroy Shadow Orbs. You will see a message telling you of their arrival. Don't bother trying to find them before it says they have arrived. Also, be on the lookout for a harpoon that they drop. One of the best ranged weapons IMO.

8. I think it's 35 bars, but if you get just one bar, the Guide will tell you how much of what you need.

9. You need to kill the devourer in the corruption to get shadow scales. Those are components of the Demonite set of armor and pickaxe. Just having Demonite isn't enough for the upgrade.

EDIT: You asked specifically about the gold chestplate. You get set bonuses for having complete sets of armor. If you have all silver now, it's not going to be much better if you just get a gold plate. Make all 3 parts first before upgrading.

Also, piggy banks are cool. It works exactly like the Diablo 2 chests. It's the same chest, no matter what city in the world you are in.

---Head after the Eater of Worlds, Fought in Corruption, Use Purification Powder from the Dryad to tunnel down fissures and break shadow orbs, or make Worm Bat out of Vile Powder(vilemushrooms) and Rotten Chunks at a Demon Altar. You may want to build a series of platforms, with walls to stop Eaters from flying at you, before you sumon him. Arenas FTW.
2. Where does one look in which direction when you find out about a meteorite?
---They land on the surface (VERY rarely they hit floating islands) Traverse the world, you should find it
3. Is there any possible safe way of navigating the hellish looking layer of the map
--- If you can collect Fireblossom seeds( hit fireblossom covered in lava, try dumping it on yourself) you can make a farm on the surface in your base. and use it to make obsidian Skin potions, giving you Lava Immunity
4. Do i have to defeat that massive fuck-off skeleton boss to access the dungeon?
--Yup. Build an arena!
5. Other than being able to summon that devourer boss in the corruption is there anything else worth doing there?
---During Blood Moons, Deathweed (only grows in corruption) drops seeds. Devourers drop Worm Teeth, used in making Unholy Arrows, Pierce 5 targets.(VERY good for fighting Eater Of Worlds, also)
6. where are all the bloody good items?
---Jungle, Underworld, Dungeon, Floating Islands, Random chests.
7. Where are the goblins? i want to get those bloody rocket boots. >.<
--- When you have over a certain HP value (last i heard it was 400, i think i got one sooner though) they have a chance to spawn at Dawn.
8. How much is needed for the gold chest plate
---like 25 gold bars? Give Guide your Gold in the Crafting option, he'll tell you how to make anything that uses that material.
9. how do i go from gold to the next level of pickaxe?
--- Kill Eater of Worlds, get Scales +demonite = New Pick. next level beyond that is Molten(hellstone)
