Every other website I have turned to has not helped at all so I was hoping I could ask you guys.

Just yesterday I created a steam account and bought Terraria. However the second I click play i'm given the message "Terraria has stopped working." I have tried different methods of fixing it. I have the recent .Net Frameworks, I've checked my sound card, i've reinstalled steam and Terraria but to no avail. My hardware specs meet the requirments.

If anyone out there has any ideas on what I could do it would be very appreciated. I really want to play my game I payed good money for. Please help.

No PC windows vista.
Ach. I'd be more apt to blame Vista for your troubles than anything else, but without some specifics (error messages or the like) I can't be much more assistance.

I'm not a huge computer whizz so I don't know how to do things like that.

I played it on my laptop with vista (although I didn't like it)

Not sure what the problem could be.

Verify integrity of game cache, perhaps?
(Right click on game > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of Game Cache)
