Terrorists Might Plot Attack in World of Warcraft

Wow, uh....pretty blatantly obvious that who ever wrote this never even set foot into the actual game. Some research there, pal.

Let's point out everything wrong with this;
1: Level 70's don't get XP. Unless XP is code for Extra Pizza or something.
2: Stonetalon is a 20-30 area, and a single level 70 would storm through it. No need for a raid. And certainly nothing there that would be 'too strong to handle'.
3: There is no White Fort in Stonetalon. Nor a mage and his gnome buddy.
4: That map is of Zul'Gurub, not Stonetalon Mountains.
5: Dragon Fire is a mage only spell. Every level 65-70 fire mage has it. It's not hard to aquire.
6: Money is RANDOMLY GENERATED when looting an enemy. There is NO means of knowing an exact amount that would be located in any given location.
7: Zoram Strand is an entire zone over. Furthermore, to sneak FROM Zoram Strand to Stonetalon would require between 10-20 minutes of riding depending on your mount speed. So...does that mean the terrorists plan to attack Washington DC by landing in Rhode Island?

So, anyone who actually HAD a conversation like that in game...well, it's obvious they've never actually played it. Which, well, only serves to make them MORE suspicious than sneaky.

See...the only way using an MMORPG as a means of communication effectively would involve having EVERYONE who was communicating that way familiar enough with the game to make it look like you were having a casual conversation that real players would have.
And no terrorist cell is going to pay the monthly fee for all of their agents to sit around and play a video game just so they can communicate.

Wow, our government is at it again? Last year I heard reports about how the CIA was looking into monitoring WoW and other such MMOs because they make for the "perfect place to recruit terrorists and establish new cells."

I mean, I understand that terrorism is something to be concerned about but really now...Does this mean that they will start bringing everyone planing a raid in for questioning? Hell, while we're at it, why don't we waste our tax dollars helping the government pay for investigations of all 10 million+ people who have subscribed to WoW...

Oh, and by the way, I don't think a real Islamic extremist would be playing so much WoW that he has a level 70. That alone pokes more than a few holes in their idea. WHY would terrorists be PLAYING WoW enough to build a character like that?

Considering a direct threat from actual terrorists doesn't get the American homeland security going, I dunno why this does.

Ok, this might just be the most paranoid Video-Game related news ever. Do they seriously believe that terrorists are going to use WoW to plan attacks? Honestly.

Oh man... this made my day...

Next thing you know, airport security is going to have to tie you up and blindfold you because you might strangle, punch, or kick the pilot.

So, the terrorists are going to bomb Stonetalon next? Which ones are the terrorists again? The orcs, trolls or undead?

Don't you think they'd have used something free, like Skype, or even Runescape...?
Agreed, Just getting two people on WOW for a month would make it so they'd have to replace bombs and planes with sticks and birds.

There's also the possibility that the terrorists become addicted to World of Warcraft... no more terrorist plots, just plan ol' addiction.

Everybody better watch out for the new terrorists. Lucky for us, they're all fat, smelly and aren't any good at combat, so casualties should be fairly light.

My apologies to the WoW players here today, couldn't resist.

This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Why would you use WoW? Skype would be much better since its person to person and it can be made encrypted. I would be paranoid about that, but then you would have to be paranoid about all telecommunications and that would be stupid.

If this is how Bin Laden is coordinating his troops, then I have a new strategy. Look for the cave that subscribes to high-speed internet...

Also, some epic phail in the dialouge, for example 'The Allaince might be lisening', even though all they would hear would be 'fkhT'dfh hfnkdsmo gGjhtasljdf97bG'. Plus, noone would say '110 gold, 234 silver', they would say '112 gold', and not even mention the silver because what level 70 raiding party would care about pocket change? If the U.S. government actually thought terrorists were payin for WoW for troop coordination, they would look for epic phailures in dialouge that would tip you off of either a colossal moron who bought his freind's lvl 70 account, or a threat covered by a veil only a couple molocules thick...
