Counselor?
what? am I the only one?
tea leaves? care to elaborate?AntiAntagonist said:Done this test plenty of times before.
Closest to INTJ, but with the proper trade winds and the tide I may be INFP
EDIT: Psychologists tend to look at the Jung/Myers-Briggs test as reading tea leaves.
Essentially they (psychologists) don't give it much respect. I'm a Leo and a Boar, both of those zodiacs "fit" my personality, but are vague enough to fit a lot of people.theklng said:tea leaves? care to elaborate?AntiAntagonist said:Done this test plenty of times before.

being in a family of psychologists, i know that there is some skepticism about the test; but i also know that several jungists consider it as a base. one will have to understand that with only 16 different archetypes, a good amount of generalization is needed. this is also why i in the beginning said that it is a foundation; not an exact match.AntiAntagonist said:Essentially they (psychologists) don't give it much respect. For some reason the student health psychologists at my school liked Myers-Briggs though.
Still a more interesting test than that "Type A" personality test (can't remember the name).)
I'm aware of how the test is supposedly used. The person who put doubt in me over the test was a also a family member with a PhD in psychology.theklng said:being in a family of psychologists, i know that there is some skepticism about the test; but i also know that several jungists consider it as a base. one will have to understand that with only 16 different archetypes, a good amount of generalization is needed. this is also why i in the beginning said that it is a foundation; not an exact match.
the whole idea of psychology is that everyone is unique, and that we at best can try and create a space from where people are coming from... not where everyone is. you can't logically deduct it because it's not based on logic.
