I've been crafting as I suppose everybody that wants a tf2 hat has been. Except I didn't realise that you only needed 2 weapons from 1 class to make scrap metal. Ive been using 3. I could have had nearly 3 hats by now and I haven't gotten 1 yet!

Don't feel too bad, it was a part of the update last night! Of course, if you did all your crafting just before the update then yeah, gutted.

I'm glad I didn't go crazy with crafting... I've only wasted the few items necessary to keep my backpack from overflowing.
Also how awesome is that you can craft the gunboats now?

And I just went on a crafting spree yesterday....

I also could not play for shit yesterday aswell....

This suprised me too. If only I've saved up all my weapons to make metal! Still at least with two refined metals I'm not that far off a new hat. I've only had one hat drop, and that was over 6 months ago.

This only went into effect last night, along with a few new blueprints.

Kritz + bonk = cola.
2 bonk + batters helm = bonk helm.
Razor back + Targe = Gunboats.

There might be more.

lucky you... It says on the wiki that you should get a hat drop on average every 120 hours. I have nearly 180 and still no hat.... still near there with the metal just one more refined metal to go mahahaha
