TF2 keeps crashing!

So, I just bought Team Fortress 2 yesterday for the PC, and I was told it works fine for Windows XP.

So, I installed Steam, and the game on to the computer, but whenever I have tried to play it, the Valve emblem shows up, then the powered by source screen, and then, it just crashes.

We have searched for solutions on the Internet, and most of them have been assossciated with the Launch options, but it has been entirely fruitless so far.

Please help.

Are you clicking or otherwise attempting to move the load screen along? That crashes it for me.

Your graphics card isn't powerful enough.

I had the same problem. Try running in Dx 8

Probably need a better graphics card. If not, Just try reinstalling, downloading latest patch, all the basic stuff.
