Have you run into any good ones?
I realize that some are new, and inexperienced, but I have yet to find one that is good.
I also noticed that none have mics, and all of the ones that I have seen have had bad connections.

Any thoughts on the new menu?

The New menu sucks. Ass.
It's clunky, out of place and forces everything to splay over the place willy-nilly. It gets in the way of everything and is generally unpleasant to look at. The only good thing the new menu has brought is the icon change for the craft section form a briefcase to an anvil.

Seriously, it cuts out half the screen with stuff that you don't need when they could have kept it as a simple list of things to do, I can only think of one reason they did this and uttering it here will get me thousand angry mac noobs flaming me. But here it is anyway:

It was only changed because valve, in alienating their core user base of Microsoft users, knows that Mac users like things shiny and would insult the aesthetic style of the old menu without giving second thought to the functionality of it all.

Seriously it's shiny, it gets in the way, it brings nothing good to the table (except for the aforementioned anvil). The new TF2 Menu sucks copious quantities of ass.

OT: I've only seen one Mac player (with the headphones) and I'd say they were a pretty standard player.
Heh! Are you going to post that one in every thread about the new update? If so: right on! I totally agree. I was dismayed to see the new train wreck of a menu. It's confusing, ugly, in the way and takes up way to much estate. You have to move the console out of the way to figureout what the hell is going on. And the you finally rid yourself of all the bloody turorials and pop ups only to find that a press on play launches the old server browser, just maximized and looking like ass.

In short and employing hyperbole, I hate it to the core of my soul. There was absolutely nothing worng with the old one. It did the job perfectly. I just feel like slamming my head in my desk. After all these years of playing the game (and other Valve games) they screw me over to satisfy their new pets. Same goes for the new Steam UI. What is wrong with simple but functional? Clean but power full.
