TF2 New Classless Update, Day 2!

I wish they would just fix the loot system. I, among many other players, do not receive random drops. I only receive items when I get milestones, which is bullshit.

Are you signed in to steam friends? If not, you won't get anything. Just saying But to be honest, I'd rather want the items to just come from the milestones. Makes the weapons more of a reward. But that's just me, don't hate me for my opinion please ^^

On topic, I love Valve humor. But I'd like to see a way to earn hats instead of getting them randomly. And maybe the trade system to be implented like it was always supposed to be, 'cause six Huntsmen is rather lame if I can't give it away to friends or other players who don't have it.

Hard to make rare stuff come from achievments, as some guys have figured out a way to instantly unlock all the achievments you want. And I think Valve want the hats to be rare.
If this hadn't been the case then it would have been a good idea.

Also, I think the trade system might be implemented with this update, don't quote me on it though.

hmm, never played TF2, is it worth buying the orange box over? I'm thinking about it for Portal.

OP: Atleast the company still cares to put things out for it.

At the prices it's going for now, any one of the games is worth buying the Orange box.

BUT,

PC version only, TF2 on consoles isn't terrible, it's jsut devoid of a load of bugfixes, character updates (the unlockables) and about a bajillion custom maps and modes (like the payload map with the man eating train, yes you read that right, a man eating train, with a mouth and everything).

This looks pretty cool, but I wonder what they have in store for the rest of the week. Something tells me they'll be announcing the complete version they had of that TF2 beta they had a while ago.

As most have said, I'd rather them finish the class updates first. And for those that don't have the Orange Box for the PC; er... why? It's the best thing I've ever bought.

EVERY bloody time there is an update on TF2, people complain.
"Waah, weapon x is useless."
"Waah, weapon y is overpowered."
"Waah, my class didn't get updated."
"waah, the new weapons are ugly."
"Waah, the new weapons doesn't fit my playstyle."
"Waah, the new maps are boring."
"Waah, I can't get any hats anyway, and now they're adding more, that I, of course can't get."
"Waah, there are too many of class z now that they have been updated."

To be fair the people on the Steam forums never stop whining, class update or no class update.

Serious time now. I actually think this is pretty neat since I love variety, but i hope they make it more likely you'll actually get a hat if they have more of them.

Because Microsoft wouldn't allow Valve to release them for free, so Valve releases the updates in large bundles in order to justify the price Microsoft demands for them to be available over Xbox Live.

Well that's the theory, anyway.
