I bought team fortress 2 for the computer yeasterday. I checked out the system requirments and everything was fine. It works but it is very laggy, most of the details of the graphics are blurred, such as boxes, calenders, etc. I checked the recomended system requirements and i had more than recomended everything except processer. Mine is 2.3Ghz. recomended is 3 but required is 1.7. Is there something i can do to make it run better without getting a new processer, or maybe a problem that someone has encountered before. Thanks.

If it is laggy it may just be the server you are on double check that.

Or maybe just lower the video settings

You could either check your server latency and move to another server-that would explain the lagyness.

Download the FRAPS program. It will tell you your ingame screenrates if you play TF2 while running it. That should give you an idea of how well your computer is handling the game.

It's only lagy in high trafic areas, and that's what i thought at first but random bits of graphics are blured to the poin that i could barley recognize the calander in the base.

Or in console commands type "net_graph 3". Or does that only work in CS:S?

Personally, Ive never tried, but since the games are both source, I would imagine it works.

Spelling Nazi! Highlighted in red for your convenience.
OT: Happens to me all the time...although the blurred parts are new to me. Just move to a server that's got better ping with you.
