Okay, the recent TF2 update annoyed me. Not because it did anything wrong, it's just that I had all of my weapons reskinned, and this update ruined them. Not all of the weapons are broken, actually, just most of them. Some of the weapons are reverted to their original state, but others are simply blank. Do you guys know if there is any way to get all of the standard TF2 weapon skins back?

Well if you go to Steam appps\*your username*\team fortress 2 and delete the folder called tf, then start the game again, it'll recreate the folder automatically.
I think that's where the skins are kept at any rate.

^ That's what I did. Delete the tf folder and redownload the skins, it's the easiest way. Though I think you'll have to download custom maps and sounds and stuff again >_>

and if you don't like poking around and manually deleting files/directories, just right click on TF2 in your games library, and select Delete Local Content. Then reinstall the game.

Go into your tf folder and copy paste your maps folder onto the desktop. Then delete everything in the tf folder and put the maps folder back.

This is better, sucks to loose all your maps.

Well, you can just delete the materials, models and the weapon sounds folder.

Thanks a lot guys, just to see what would happen, I made a Support ticket asking for a file containing the original skins, if that is fruitless, I'll do these things.

Also, do you guys know what the directory of the player models is? Because those skins still work.

I've decided to copy-paste my maps and player models folders onto my desktop (Because my models for the players still, work, and I like my maps) and delete the "tf" folder, and verify the cache. Afterwords I will simply replace the player models and add my maps.

I'd suggest joining this group [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/The-Escapist-Team-Fortress-2-Group-PC] where we discuss things like this all the time.

I'm actually already in this group, but the idea of asking you guys flew completely over my head.
