One thing people often fail to realize early on, Sniping is a math game. Know how much max health the enemy has, subtract estimated damage they've taken, and try to deal the resulting number.
A body shot does 50, 100% charged shot does 150. These are multiplied by 3 when you get a headshot. Under 50% charge won't be much more damage than 50, because of how the ramp-up works.
There's also a Sniping priority list:
1. Snipers - because they are your most immediate threat.
2.Medics - He might be seconds away from that Ubercharge. A headshot or 100% bodyshot will kill them.
3. Heavies - Two headshots/100%bodyshots, 1 mostly charged headshot (70-80%?), or a fully charged headshot when they have a medic. Sometimes it's better to shoot sooner and deal less damage, because your team tends to focus-fire on him.
4. Engineers - If they're dead, they can't protect their buildings or make new ones. If you can, snipe him then take out his sentry.
5. Demomens - They do a LOT of damage. If you take them out, you probably saved someone's life or building.
Then Soldier, Pyros, Scouts, Spies. This is just a guideline, you'll need to prioritize based on the biggest immediate threat. Also, full charges will destroy mini and level 1 sentries. At range, you're best to take out sentries.

Kill the medic first. And if there's a spy near your base, open fire everywhere. You might hit him and if you miss, it's just a short trip to the resupply cupboard
^ To continue from Arkimbald, if you can headshot or full-charge bodyshot a Spy, Scout or Medic - ~TAKE THE SHOT~! Getting Scouts before they can jump wildly (particularly onto the 2Fort bridge) can take some time and practice, but the end result is often very satisfying and delays them from trying to use the Bridge Roof as an 'easy' path to grab the Intel and run.
If you shoot a Spy with full charge when you see him (or otherwise see a "friendly" team member amongst the enemies that isn't being attacked unless they're a disguised Spy) you'll insta-kill him 95% of the time unless he's using the Dead ringer in which case you should call to your mates there might be a Dead ringer Spy nearby if his death seems otherwise too easy.

Always check behind you every few seconds for spys. Spycheck all the time. Skip Sniper until you can get a hand of aiming. In the meantime play simpler classes like medic, heavy, soldier or engie. From there branch out to other classes to fit your style

I did it once for the acheivment but thats it. When dealing with Razorbacks I normally just stab twice, since most snipers are inceribley oblivous. Alternatively as a Spy equip the Ambassador and blow that Sniper's brains all over the wall. A head shot takes off about 110 health and at point blank range is laughably easy. Then immediately follow up with a shot to the body, killing the camping bastard.ElNeroDiablo said:
I like to stand around corners and attempt a tauntkill, it never gets old when an unsuspecting enemy walks into it. And on most Well variations, and on other maps, there's usually a few places where Snipers go to snipe that are rarely visited by anyone besides them. And if they are pretty dim you should be able to get away with a tauntkill without them even noticing until it's too late.

What might be better than any tip here, and lead to further useful info to you:
You can "request a coach" for TF2 during a game using one of the main menu buttons. It may be one of the dumb icons hidden inside of another button.

Each class is assigned a certain task(e.g medic keeps people alive, heavy kinda push people back, demo defends certain areas, soldier is frikkin' awesome, scout cap. points/FLANK EVERYONE AND DESTROYYY, engi move up and take territory/defend territory and keep teleporter up, etc. etc.) Don't go trying to go battle medic when your teammates are dying on you. Keep to what you do best(unless it's for teh lulz).
2. Always try to reload if you get the chance. Whenever your in a safe spot or area just reload. That spare bullet might just save you.
