I'm having trouble getting TF2 to run on my quad core processors

It gets to the Valve logo bit then shuts down

Any advice?

What anti-virus software are you using, because several anti-virus programs make it hard for Steam games to run, for me I had a huge problem with Norton.

Send a trouble shooting meesage to Valve and they will take it from there.
Thanks.

Will do
No Problem. I had issues with Fallout 3, which I had bought over Steam. I just sent them an email, they got back to me in a few days, and we worked out a solution, shortly.

OOOHHHHH This again.

I had something similar,I would start the game,get the menu,join a room,and be kicked.

There are a few possible problems, namely the drivers or Graphics card, post you comp cradentials,Emachine,HP,name it,NO emachine properly runs games but the monster series.
