TF2 Troubles

I keep logging in and out of Steam and even exited Steam all together but I try to load TF2 and it says I'm playing it but it won't bring up TF2. It's worked before on my computer but not now. And, if that was unclear, I mean that Steam will make my outline green and say I'm playing it but it won't run it. Anyone know what's up?

Scratch that. It's not just TF2, it's ALL of my games.

That reeks of troubles with your version of DirectX, i recently had the same issue when i moved to a new laptop.

Try resetting your computer. If that doesn't work, try logging off then back on to Steam.

When in doubt, System Restore to an earlier time when it did work.
