Well, it's been a few days since Valve changed TF2 forever with it's Free-2-Play platform of TF2 and the various class packs they released.
I just wanted to know how the community felt about the new Meet the Medic video, the new weapons and how everyone feels about the F2P platform.
Personally, I like that TF2 is free now. I have SOOOO many friends that are really tight on their budgets and never played TF2 before because of it.
As for all the new weapons... I'm finding it difficult to catch up with all of them and decide if they're worth it or not... XP It's just a matter of how Valve needs to learn to Juxtaposition these things...

I still haven't tried out the update, but I loved the video, and I can finally get my girlfriend to try Valve's games without being unsure about her money going towards something she won't enjoy. Hopefully the new equipment is stuff I will be inclined to use.

I have only found a couple of the new weapons so can't give impressions on that but meet the medic was awesome, i watched it 3 times in a row when i first found it. The Tomislav however seems way too OP, and iv thought of the perfect nerf, make it so you cant rev in the air. That would stop heavies being ninjas and jumping out already firing at you and would give you a chance to react.

I hardly try to grab the new weps as soon as the update hits, I'm sure I'll get most of them through regular play regardless.

I've been waiting for meet the medic since before the scout update (a couple years ago) and it more than lived up to my expectations, I got goosebumps when I saw the heavy get ubercharged.

My favorite part of the update was the 'strange' weapons giving the heavy, demo and soldier weapons that keep track of kills with them. now I can finally flex my ego online by pointing at my sticky launcher's kills.

as for the new weapons being of any use, the demo set seems a little overpowered with a lot of metal around, the medic set is alright nothing to write home about (the new uber is terrible). and the tomislav (the heavy gun) is very nice aswell.

the rest you can probably just ignore.

I like the new update, it's a little frustrating when you get a team with mostly noobies but everyones got to learn some time. I try to help and the smart ones listen and the dumb ones tell me to shut up and leave them along, and why shouldn't there be 5 spys on the team.

The update has been pretty fun so far. More new players = lots of backs to stab.

My only major complaint is how difficult the crafting recipes are. I had exhausted my metal supply crafting the Halloween hat a few weeks before, and for some reason I only got three drops or so this week (none of them being a new weapon, of course). I'm going to have to trade some of my hats now just so I can get enough metal to craft some of the other weapons.

The Meet the Medic video made a guy who looks in his late 30s/early 40s and wears a lab coat look more badass than anyone else in the cast, the update has brought a load of new people to the game which can only be a good thing, otherwise I've not really played enough to have much more to say.

It has certainly brought out the worst in the veteran players, making this, of all the updates, that's making me avoid the game like the plague for the next few months.

Yes, some newbies are complete morons, but I'd take the morons who are getting themselves killed over the ones who think their experience gives them authority.

The Meet the Medic video was the best "Meet the" video so far in my opinion, topping even the "Meet the Spy."
Just like Valve, making one wait waaay too long for things, then popping something out that is so good, you stop complaining.
