Beat me to it. *shakes fist* It's more likely a typo rather than a misuse of the word; double-typing letters is pretty easy, especially on laptops, and noticing them before posting is sometimes difficult.

I don't actually find The Escapist to be any better than other sites, 4chan and YouTube notwithstanding; we focus on spelling and grammar to build and maintain an illusion of sanity and civility. Given what we're inevitably compared to, it's a pretty convincing ploy.

Knowing I can complain with proper grammar helps me sleep at night, however little I do so. Saying stuff like "some Escapists are so conceited they shit light" is calming, and even moreso when I can spell 'conceited' properly, and they can't.
