That Birthday Thread

Here in Escapist, when you turn 18, you're ready to take on your first official Escapist responsibilities.

But when I get 18..... I'm not gonna lie, I get drunk with my friends, that obvious.

I had a pretty quiet one. Saw a movie with friends, hung out, had a family dinner, few beers at home, etc.

Then we went out pubbing and I got extremely fucking drunk.

On topic: Happy birthday. As for what I did for my 18th? Nothing special really. Just relaxed and had a few drinks with some friends. I'll party with my mates when it's their birthdays, but I don't really like celebrating my own. To me it's just another year, nothing special at all about that.

As for what I did for my 18th (19 now, 20 in three months or so(Fuck, I'm old. XD)) I did this.
Fuck all.

Last birthday I actually remember doing something for was my 15th, I think. Since then, I've just been told, happy birthday, given money and cards and invited two or three mates around for a Halo blast. Nothing big, really.

Hitting eighteen wasn't that great... it was just another year on the clock. Hitting nineteen however will be awesome, because in Saskatchewan that's when you're legally allowed to consume alcohol... not that it really matters, considering I don't drink much to begin with, but still it's the thought that counts.

I'm turning 18 a week from today. I'll be going to a sports bar with a couple friends, and generally doing all the irresponsible things they can think of subjecting me to. I'm not sure whether to be excited or nervous (though, I have been out drinking before).

I'm sure at one point their going to get me either a Muff Diver or a lapdance. It'll be more for their enjoyment than mine, though :/

I did nothing really on my 18th, though a few weeks later I got thrown out of a club and perma-banned from it and that was only my first time there. I'm thinking on my 21st I'll try heading back there to see if they remember me, and if not then I'll hang out there with some friends.

I'll be 20 next Summer. Nothing major there, except for the end of your Teenage years. Probably won't do anything much for it... Maybe spend it with a certain special someone.

The day before my 18th I was at... an 18th!

We were in a courtyard venue gaff at pub and left for teh city centre at about 11.40pm
I got in the queue for An Bróg [http://lh5.ggpht.com/_a-T73GENI6k/R6-NaX60DZI/AAAAAAAABNk/LfS6jrcYN8A/CIMG0964.JPG] and got up to the bouncer and showed him my school swipe card (it had my D.O.B. on it)
In my best pretend-sober drunkeness and said "I'll be 18 in ten minutes!"
He waved me over behind him to wait "I'll just get the manager there, wait." "Ya, that's grand *leaning on the railing*"
He eventually came out and held up the ID card to my face and asked "what's your birthday?" and "what star sign are you?"
They let me in and I spent the first minutes of adulthood crouching at a table drunk waiting for a promised hug from a random girl who was busy talking!

Needless to say, when I went home the next morning back to the countryside I was feeling quite... tired. Flustered with presents I spent my 18th birthday watchin' the TV and watching ZP, not yet an escapist member ;D

My 17th was yesterday and I did have a birthday celebration with my family and just enjoying an evening of relaxation and disconnecting from the worries of school and all that.

Nope, still 17 *suppresses rage* But it'll all be over soon.

And a Muff Diver is a drink. I don't know what's all in it, but it's a shot glass with something topped with whipped cream. Then the glass is placed between a girls legs and you have to drink it without hands.
