That bizarre pleasure

I haven't been able to find anybody thus far that can relate to this so I thought I'd take to the Off-topic discussion to see if this is unique to me. Basically, sometimes, if I'm being assited or helped out in my completion of a mundane task (usually by someone with whom I am not particularly familiar) I have been known to experience a palpable sense of pleasure. I can't stress enough that it is completely non-sexual, more akin to the kind of pleasure you might associate with entering a very warm, cosy home after having been out in the cold. It's basically a very intense relaxation. This is no ordinary response to being looked after, it's much more considerable than that. As if my very bones were flooding my system with dopamine.

I get the same thing sometimes. There's something about spontaneous teamwork with anyone in particular, probably taps all the way back to our more primitive instincts.

Sounds very much like ASMR.

In most people who experience it, it's brought on by certain sounds (like whispering), but in some people it can be triggered by other things instead.
I get that from listening to music (the right kind, obviously).
Hurray for music I say.

And now excuse me whilst I get my next fix.

*Ohhhh yeah, you like that Asturias, don't ya, yeah, listen to that Yepes, oh yeaaaaaaaahhhh*

I don't think I've ever experienced anything like that. But regarding bizarre pleasures, I rub my eyes. I mean, I really rub them--not hard, but I induce pressure directly on them, when my hands are very clean of course. Usually in the shower. I can't describe it other than it really feels good. And before anybody asks, I've been doing it ever since I was a kid. And at the last eye test I took I was told I have 20/12 vision.
