Hiruko in Shinobi when i first faught him. BY GOD, that guy killed me so many times it wasn't even funny. So, when i FINALLY managed to waste his ass, you can imagine there was much screaming of happiness and rejoicing on my part.

Did you finish it? It took me about 2 hours doing that boss.
Oh, just so you know, the final boss is a fucking insult. He's able to 3-hit kill you, all the soldiers supposed to be source for healing are flying around, escaping in helicopters and getting killed by the asshole (he's preventing you from healing), and there's a crapton of planes bombing you.
Plus, there's a time limit on it.

For me, it HAS to be Crawmerax the Invincible from Borderlands. That's one big ************.

Urgh, the tyrant on the plane in Resident Evil code: veronica x
Christ what a ballache - all the worse that a part of my head KNOWS that there is a way to kill him with one shot of the catapult.
He is the main reason I didn't go back and replay it more than once, and he only reason I didn't try for the top score playthrough.

What? I missed something obvious? did he have a blatantly glowing Russian weak point that I didn't notice?
Well I assume since you had problems with him, that means you went stealth like everypony should do.

Run up to him when he's chasing you with knives.
Metal Core rounds, chain shot, aim at his stupid face, wait for crits, blam.
When he buckles to the ground hit him with grenades or melee, then run.
It takes maybe two times with that to take him out, so have fun.

Ganondorf in Wind Waker took me nine months...but that was more due to a lack of free time. Also Ashera in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, that took me three months of nonstop swearing.

That damned yeti in Spyro 3. I was having so much fun 'till that bastard came up 6 months ago (yeah I still play spyro) And I just couldn't beat him, even with guides. WHY IS MY 6 YEAR OLD SELF BETTER THAN ME AT GAMING?? *cries in corner*

Mizar in Jet Force Gemini. No matter how hard I tried and how much help I had from someone using the little support robot on controller #2, I could never beat him. And now I can't even go back and play the game at all because of how poorly the game has aged. It's mostly just the aiming: the cursor is constantly trying to snap back to the middle of the screen instead of just having the entire camera move with the cursor like in modern games. I had been hoping for a modern release like other Rare games got on XBLA, but after seeing how the rerelease of Perfect Dark had the same shit aiming in its demo, I no longer care what they do with the game.

And this. One time I managed to last about 10 seconds against him before he completely destroyed me. I'm told that's what I get for going up against him alone as Roland, but whatever.

Especially on hard mode. That shit was not cool. Whittle away at her massive health bar, then run away to the rooftops and let the regular enemies follow you so you can eat them. Man I hated that fight. Even the final boss was easier: you could get to full health and then just hide at the top of the aircraft carrier until the military did enough damage to it to start the countdown, then you hop back down into the battle and just spam your superpowered tendril moves at him. If you don't kill him after that, let him beat you up until he activates your critical health status which gives you another super move, then hide again until your health recharges, let him knock you back down to critical again, and he should be done by then.

But Greene, holy shit fuck you Greene.

The final boss on Prototype... I must have died a hundred times before even getting to the damn timer part of the fight, just to add extra annoyance. lol

I've never beaten REX in Metal Gear Solid (legitimately). Couldn't when I was younger, can't now. I think that's just because I'm rubbish though and haven't persisted enough.

The clear winner for most tedious and cheap is that arsehole Isaac Frost. Even on the lowest difficulty it took me hours. Thank god it had checkpoints or else I would have had an aneurysm.

The Boost Guardian in (the original) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes game on Hard. I must have tried fighting it like 15+ times before I finally beat it... Emperor Ing was a pushover in comparison xD

I think, looking back on it, the one that always gave me the most trouble was the Tiger Cave Mouth of the Cave of Wonders in KH 1. Spent ages trying to beat it. I did in the end, but victory was tough and I swore like a trooper during the battle.

Better yet, why didn't you just set your PS2's clock ahead about a week.

I'm not joking:

The last two bosses in Dead Rising 2 (Whom I won't name due to spoilers). God damn.

The first one just WON'T take damage from anything, unless you're clairvoyant and somehow knew that the ONLY weapon that would damage him is the knife-gloves.

And the true final boss? What a prick. He takes away all your weapons, then places you on an artificial timer, then places any decent weapons on high explosives, just to F with you.

And my dumb ass didn't realize that you could reset the game at any point, with all your stat upgrades intact. So I was facing them with only one playthrough's worth of stat boosts.

It WAS satisfying to finally beat them, however.

KH2:
BLOODY XALDIN
was not actuallly as difficult as I thought he might be. Riku-Ansem (/Xehaneartless) when you fight him near the end of Hollow Bastion in KH1 (the fight after Dragon-Maleficent), with that really long cutscene before that you couldn't skip - and he was wearing a skirt and still owned me SO MANY TIMES.
Also, not technically a boss but I remember a mission in Just Cause 2 that took me ages to complete. Turned out it was 'cos I was thinking tactically and getting killed for doing so; once I blindly ran in all guns blazing, I managed it first time.

I really don't understand why so many people hate the last boss on Prototype. (Monster-cross) I really took it slow with him to be honest. I practically played with him, let the soldiers attack him, use helicopters, heck, I did all I could to make the battle LAST as long as possible... then the timer came and I pwnd him because I HATE TIMERS!!!!

Anyway, THAT BOSS: I FUCKING HATE THE LAST BOSS (Dark Heaven Castle) IN DARK CLOUD 1. His hands are okay, but... I HATE HIS EYE! T_T I have beaten him, and after I superpowered that gun-guy's supergun it was pretty easy... But I hate using ranged attacks in that game, so all my ranged characters were WAAAAAAAAAAY underpowered. (Think starting equipment non-upgraded) Yeah, it annoyed me very much for a while -_-
