I think at some point in Assassin's Creed, we've all picked up a broom and one-hit-killed some unsuspecting bugger with it. Hell, even when you rescue a certain mercenary captain, he picks up a broom and bashes the crap out of his guards.

My question is this, what games were made better, or could have been made better, by the addition of random improvised weapons.

My best example is DnD, I know it says improvised weapons hit for 1d6melee or 1d4ranged, but I generally give adventurers bonuses for improvising, rather than deduct points.

Fable... There weren't enough weapons in those games...

I really wanted to love Fable 1, 2 and 3 as well. It was very hard to do...

But yeah, nothing like picking up one of those pointless crates and smashing it over a Hobbes head, god that'd be fun...

Same. I didn't use that rule hard and fast either. Depending on the weapon and how it was being used I might have gone more or less.
