We've all got one. It's how you sing to yourself, think about stuff, take mental notes, the works.

Based on my own experiences I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the tone of that voice probably doesn't always match how you're feeling. So my question to you, fellow Escapists, is how is that little voice today? How is it feeling at this moment? Does it match your own feelings?

Mine? Not at all. Today I am feeling very blah. I just got out of work a few hours ago and am just killing time until I go to sleep. The little guy in my head, however, is bubbly and joyous as can be. Maybe he knows something I don't.

Another question if you're feeling fun: if this little voice has a look, what does it look like? Does it look exactly like you? Are there some differences?

As for me, mine looks like me for the most part. There are some differences. He's about [undisclosed amount of weight] lighter than I am. He also lacks that spot on his chin that refuses to grow facial hair properly, so he has the most rockin' beard that I could wish for.

I forcefully transformed my Little Voice into Eric Idle so I can laugh all the time and get weird looks from strangers.
I'm generally happy since I did this transformation, and I recommend it for depressed people.
I am losing interest in all my latest video games, which is stupid because I have over two hundred of them and most I did not even play yet...

Interesting.

OT: I'm trying to remain calm and enjoy life right now, while another part of me is getting worried about where I'll live and what I'll do this fall, but it's still summer, so I'm trying to ignore her.

I guess mine would be a hot girl, that loves to swear and can't stop doing it.

My little voice is split into that devil-angel conflict on my shoulders. The angel is telling me to do something more productive than to play games and lurk on this website. The devil is telling me that games are more fun and that there is nothing I could be doing anyways. Aghh! I wish I could just ignore my conscience and manually be unaware of it. Other than that I feel quite happy.

Mine's always, ALWAYS, been snarky and sarcastic. Think Freeman from Freeman's Mind. He even has the goatee.

No, voice! Stop calling me paranoid, damn it!

I know a lot of people say this, but the voice in my head is legitimately British. I'm Canadian, so it's really weird.

Prolly comes from watching so much Torchwood and Doctor Who.
Also, that voice in my head is still asleep, but I expect he'll want me to start drawing.

Drawing an astronaut with a trenchcoat. Yeah, that's radical.

Voice in my head is currently telling me to slit the throats of all my immediate family, take the house I'll get in the will, sell it to purge their existence from the world then get on with my life once I have served a life sentence in the UK prison system which is hilariously only 25yrs.

Seeing as I am 24 now, that means I'll be 49 when I get out and the interest on the money I'd make from the house sale in a high interest ISA account would mean I could easily move to somewhere sunny and live out my twilight years happy and free of the cunts I call a family.

So erm...

Yeah it's matching my mood pretty well.

Although the voice is usually singing or beat boxing in my head when its not thinking about having fun ^_^

The voice in my head is always making me remember stuff. "Was that class at 1 today?" "Did I take my medicine?" "Do I need to brush my teeth again?" ect ect.

Until I try to sleep, then it goes into Hypermode and I can't stop thinking.

It also produces video and pictures. Yay exquisite mental imagery!

My inner monologue is currently multitasking at running the following things on loop:

1. "You should be working on your racetrack game project."
2. "WINNING"
3. These songs have been playing in my head since yesterday. I'm trying to mentally tab the first song. The second song just appears when I can't think of anything.

If this isn't grounds for insanity, I don't know what is.

The voice in my head is like a rat scratching at the back of my brain. He constantly points out my mistakes; he mocks my conservative approaches as he screams for me to be more reckless. He demands careful thinking, but laugh at any restraint I show. He ceaselessly calculates all probably interactions with my environment, drowning me in choices and possibilities and muddling my perception .

Despite all that, he doesn't actually have a voice. it just like a pack of rodents in the back of my head, with nothing but the sound of their nails as they somehow scrape ideas into the being.

The voice in my head sounds vaguely like Wakko from Animaniacs. He's the reason I'm browsing here instead of working. :)

Interesting...

For me, one of my inner voices has always been rather feminine, but it depends one what I'm thinking of. For normal work-based stuff (science-stuff) it's just my normal voice (think Michael Wincott, only English) in a flat monotone. For fiction, and daily activities etc. it is a feminine version of my voice (without the hoarseness) that's languid and, I find, rather sexy. Or at least, that's what it used to be like. These days, it switches between that and a cross between of my voice and that of my ex-girlfriend. However, for military stuff that I indulge in, it's basically Rod Steiger as Napoleon in Waterloo, though perhaps deeper. And then, when I'm indulging in violence (boxing/fencing) it's my voice again, only slightly more manic.

how to make a long story short...
i'm the avatar of 4 different entities with no personality of my own, so nothing i do is an accurate reflection of how i feel.

Wait... Are we talking about Alistair, Francis or Lazarus here?

This thread really applies to me. I get lonely when I'm around people because that's when the voices in my head go away...

It's a "meh", and pretty much matches me at the moment.
I'm doing my military service (Finland) at the moment and I've had a good break now (got 6 days of to go home and just chill). I am heading back after this is written and I just got promoted... which means I still got 6 months left. I don't mind and there happens some nice stuff now and then but I'm no army freak either, that's why it's "meh".
So, see you in a few weeks again escapist!!
