Four Kings didn't give me so much trouble, but I knew I had to go full retard on DPS to make the fight manageable. So I did exactly that. Managed to beat 'em without ever having to fight more than 1 at a time. NG+ too.
Never played Demon's Souls, so I don't know about the Flamelurker.
I did play lots of Diablo II though, and I still remember that fighting Duriel on Hell difficulty was essentially admitting that you were tired of your existence on this planet.
Fuck Duriel.
Edit: Just remembered the Artorias DLC. Played it on NG+. Sanctuary Guardian wasn't very hard, just dodge everything than flay his immortal spirit with retarded DPS.
But then I went back there and came across the Double Guardian bonus boss. Same guy as before, just two of them.
It was kind of like being locked in a very, very small room with a Deinonychus and another Deinonychus. Not fun.

Flamelurker stops me in my tracks every single run through of Demon's Souls.
He is super aggressive. Making it tough to get a hit in or heal while maintaining your composure.
Then once you have damaged him sufficiently he becomes even more aggressive. Adrenaline usually gets me killed at this point.

OT: For me this goes WAY back to my SNES days when I was barely...6-7. I absolutely hated the final bosses of all the Megaman X games! Sigma almost always felt like a battle of attrition more than anything. No real weaknesses, and multiple phases mean you'll be out of most kinds of weapon energy and sub-tanks by the end. I still don't like fighting him, even today now that I know about the Hadoken upgrade.
Artorias (although the Sanctuary Guardian was also very difficult). Manus and Gwyn were still bad, but Artorias trained me so they weren't as bad.

Yea, I fought him straight up, and now that I know about the impossibly easy way, I definitely won't be doing that again. It's just alot of heartache. It really is rather depressing, I feel especially bad for Sif though, I actually didn't want to kill him. And even Gywn, kinda.Dethenger said:

He took 30+ attempts to kill. I literally punched a hole in my wall after nearly getting him and then dying.
The game was easy before him, and easy after him (until you fight Darkrai), but Primal Dialga was too damn hard for me.

Spyro: Year of the dragon's second boss. The giant bugger with a plasma cannon.
I don't know why, but he was the single hardest boss in the game, or even the hardest boss of most of my childhood.
I don't remember why, but damn if he wasn't the one I hated.

You see, I know a lot of people who had trouble beating Sephiroth in KH2, but I beat him while being level 45 just by blocking, dodging, and healing at just the right time. Granted, I tried memorizing him telegraphing certain attacks, and that overall is what helped me beat him, and every time since. KH1, still haven't beat him there ._.
Anyway, I would say when I was young I could never beat Sephiroth at the end of FF7. Honestly I've never beat FF7, and only know the ending by Youtube. I've tried replaying FF7 a few times since to finally beat it and get bored with it by disc 3. He was the first boss I ever fought in a video game that had multiple forms, and I completely didn't expect it.

Seriously? After coming back to KHI to see what Olde Seph looked like, after getting my ass handed to me in KHII, I found him much, much easier, even at lvl.70. Yes, it was still hard as fuck, but not exactly KHII Sephiroth hard as unforgiving uncaring almighty fuck.anthony87 said:

Have you played the DLC by any chance? It actually manages to make the Sif fight even sadder, which is saying a lot, really, since you are literally killing a wounded, limping dog by the end of the fight. He was also the last boss, and the one that pops your Phase Battle cherry. And he wasn't nice when he did it.
Yeah, I hated fighting Skeith. He was a royal pain in the ass, especially in his second form; in which his speed doubled. And here my innocent little 12 year old mind thought that Data Draining that asshole would make things easier... NOPE!
OT: As for other hard bosses that've made my life miserable; I'd have to say The Spectral Keeper right before Yunalesca and Yunalesca herself from Final Fantasy X have always been a pain.
Other examples of bosses that stopped me in my tracks include (SPOILERS AHOY!):
Demon Wall and Carry Armor - Final Fantasy 7
-- Fuck the Carry Armor and it's ability to completely incapacitate allies. Were it not for grabbing Knights of the Round on the second disc, this guy would be a HUGE pain to kill. The Demon Wall is just a generally hard Wake-Up Call boss.
The Queen Beast and Demon!Furiae - Drakengard
-- The Queen Beast, mainly for the shift from an action RPG/Flight Simulator to a one hit KO rythmn game.
-- Demon Furiae being the hardest boss in the sky levels; especially if you don't know how to deal with her. Those swords man; they're a killer.
Ceaseless Discharge is so annoying. It's almost impossible to defeat him properly (by atttacking his arm when he smashes it down), and I can never manage to lure him into the pit near the fog gate. He just stands at a distance and spams the unblockable, instant-kill fire blast attack at me.Mossberg Shotty said:

She just tanks everything you throw at her... I figured out a good method for dealing with her that still takes timing, skill, luck and does do some serious damage, but the fight can still take about a solid half-hour to beat, if not more. Oh and If I recall, she also has an attack that can kill you in one hit as well.

Oh god....as soon as I read that I just remembered that scream/shriek thing she does when she's pulling herself out of the seed in the cutscene. Between the scream, the eyes rolling every which way and the general WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!!!-ness of the moment...ugh, damn thing sent a shiver down my spine.bluerocker said:

I gotta agree, I found Shadow Mitsuo the hardest of the main-game bosses. I had to retry that guy 3 times before I finally took him down. Conversely, I beat every single other boss on my first try. (I think MAYBE the final boss took me 2 tries)TizzytheTormentor said:
