Oddworld: Abes Odysee definitely ranks up there. Though it's an awesome game, I keep getting discouraged by the relentlessly sadistic gameplay.

Disgaea 2, Infinite Undiscovery, Brutal Legend, the first Persona, and a lot of games from when I was younger.
One of those games is better off unfinished.

@Jay Parrish: I think only obsessive psychotics, gods, and androids have ever finished Battletoads so all your friends must be one of those three.

Anyway OT:
- Persona 3
- Sonic Heroes (curse those fucking special stages)
- Star Trek: Legacy
- Star Trek: Dominion Wars
- Dark Cloud 2 aka Dark Chronicle (mostly because I've never owned a a copy, and subsisted on rentals)
- Final Fantasy IV
- Final Fantasy IX
- Final Fantasy X
- Star Ocean: First Departure
- Red Dead Redemption
- Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer
- Command 'n' Conquer: Red Alert
- Spider-man: Web of Shadows
- and a whole shit load of NES games.

Monster Hunter 2nd
Stodgiest game I've ever played.

When I was little I didn't finish most games, perhaps because of how brutally difficult they used to be. More recently I don't finish games when they're too stodgy or uninteresting for me, or in rare cases when grinding to high heaven still can't get me past the final boss.

I am actually a completionist so deep down it bothers me to not finish a game, but if it's painful for me to play the game...

It took me the longest time to get around to beating HL2. I got stuck at some part and just quit but after that I played past it then got stuck again then I felt stupid cause it was so close to the ending.

Morrowind.

It's just... so... TEDIOUS!

Every character I made, and I made a lot, I always gave them athletics as a primary skill, and the star sign of the steed, because of how long it took to get anywhere.

I just couldn't handle it.
I feel the same about Oblivion, start a new character, swear I'm not going to play as a baddy, get bored, do the dark brotherhood missions, quit.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I love the games, but they just tire me out after a while...

Assassins Creed Brotherhood. Pretty much the same.

Was the first time you got stuck @ the chapter We Don't Go To Ravenholm? That level was very bloody hard for me.
Lol I got stuck there for a little while but the quitters were at the very last level.

Just Cause 2 and Dragon Age. Just Cause 2 because it wasn't fun for me. Dragon Age because it didn't really flow for me.
