well its not like that, social interactions with people have certain demands that therapy doesn't, and there are many types of therapy, I'm more of a psychoanalysis kind of guy so that's how I roll. It's more of a trust bond, sometimes there are things you just can't talk about with anyone else.
Isn't (pardon my ignorance here) therapy for people who are going a little bit cook-coo? And you seem reasonable sane to me. (this is more of a plea for more information on the matter than it is anything else.)
just because i seem reasonable (on the INTERNET, must i call your atention to that?) doesn't mean i'm not depressed and dying inside (i'm not that depressed)

Therapy is more of dealing with the subcontious and your identity, it deals with anything because it could be something more deep seeded and meaningfull than what you would expect, it's realy a issue of self-awareness.
Explaining it is sort of weird actualy, i would say everyone has sustained a substational amount of emotional damage and developed "defense mechanisms" to deal with certain deficiences or identity problems, therefore anyone can go to therapy.

it probably didn't answer all your questions because i'm not an expert on the subject and a terrible writer. If you want to know more about it you could just read about it or talk to a therapist, my therapist doesn't charge unless you're actualy going to do therapy, but not all of them work like that i guess.

Her name is Crystal. She was recently promoted at my old job, and she desserves it. She's smart funny, unbelievably nice, and no matter how bad anyone's day has been her smile makes everything better. I love her so much.

Too bad she thinks I'm a worthless fuckface.

You trust the internet to keep your secrets?
Its the Internet, no one knows who the fuck i am and are willing to help me with problems that i have that should arise, not that i get much anyway, cant even recall one, its easy to talk to someone when you have anonymity, there are no barriers.

I have enough problems that therapy has been recommended but I believed it was for total nut-jobs, But I spose I could look into it. Thank you sir.

I don't trust anyone with my secrets, mainly because no one gets me or bothers showing interest, and I don't want to put my problems on other people.
Plus when I do tell someone they usually spread it around, this happened 3 times.

I deal with my problems like a man, push them down and let them fester as a quiet tumor while I ***** about the world.

I have a couple... I've lucked out with my circle of friends. Although I won't talk to them all about all of my issues, I know that if it came down to it I could go to any of them for help.

it's important to go because you want to, most people don't know how it works so they get upset after the first session and stop looking into it

actualy if you watch that HBO show In Treatment you get an idea, it aproaches therapy with a certain level of realism, it's only more dramatic that the real deal and deals with a limited amount of issues, mostly with transference and counter-transference because the therapist is an important character to the story.

Mine is a girl named Denise. She's the person I spend every day talking to, and probably the only girl I know who could give less of a shit that i'm a nerd(although she does poke fun at me sometimes, which is fine).

Nowadays, no one. I used to trust close friends and family, but I've found out that if you want a secret preserved, you keep it to yourself. Too many bad experiences have told me that even if there are people who you can truly trust (and I haven't found any) they're too few and far between, and its not worth taking the risk with matters close to your heart.

True, true. So, just to clarify, you did see the irony, but you were being serious, right?

Slightly off topic, but in the same realm: I've been to two counselors, and I kind of hate it. The reason is because I'm over analytical - particularly with myself. I go to them, tell them my problems, and then offer teh solutions. Often times, they just nod and agree with everything I'm saying. Such a waste of time.

What I really need are minions.
well, counseling is a diferent type of therapy, as i said before i roll with the cool more psychoanalytical crowd, so he doesn't tell me what to do, he sort of interprets what i'm saying and does a little bit of pointing the direction he thinks i'm trying to go so i can get to conclusions on my own, and i can correct him when needed and things can get a little bit confrontational sometimes.
