Really? REALLY Valve?

Valve announced there was indeed, going to be a surprise at E3 for them.

For those who have been watching the live E3 stream, Portal 2 was just announced for the PlayStation 3 as well as Steam for the PlayStation 3 as well. It's said it will be the better Console version of the game.

What the fuck, Valve? You literally screwed a whole load of people over.

It's fine, I don't care, I think more people should buy the PC/Mac version, I just think they wasted the "Surprise", it felt like it could have been built up for more.

Anyway, what do you think of it?

What about for other systems?!
It will be coming to PC and Xbox, yeah, the PS3 apparently has the "Best Console Version" of the game.

You have to admit it was very surprising. It's just useless to the majority of Valve's hardcore fans.

Actually that is pretty surprising, seeing as how they said making a port the PS3 was not going to happen. It's a big move for them, not to mention the extra profit that will slide their way. Just think of it as this.... the more money they make.... the sooner they will be able to pay those responsible for making HL2 : Ep 3.

Well, they did say that they would never make anything for PS3 because it was "to hard" or something. But id doesn't really impact too many people, so it was a bit of a waist.

For those people to who think this isn't a surprise, clearly they haven't been up-to-date with the PS3 and Valve relationship.

Or maybe they don't realize how much Valve enjoys trolling their fans.

Another good point.

I thought that the surprise was that the surprise that was supposed to surprise everyone yesterday instead surprised people today, and Valve was surprised because nobody else was surprised at the surprise they set up?

I'm happy that its coming to the PS3, but I agree, they did overhype it... though, I was intrigued by the "Steam integration" bit... does that mean that Steam is coming in some form to the PS3?

So we had a huge topic about PS3 and Valve earlier filled with rage, now you get a Valve game and still complain?

...Seriously?

Yes, Steam is coming to the PS3. All that was mentioned though was cross-platform chat, I don't know if you can buy games then download them to your hard drive.

Besides, the 360 has gotten enough VALVe love.

I should hope that they didn't literally screw a load of people over. That would be problematic.

In any case, I would have loved to hear about some new Half-Life stuff, but this is nice, even though I don't own a PS3.

Pricks.

I'm really sorry, but that's the only word I can use to describe them. I wasn't anticipating anything from them, but they didn't have to be such utter dicks to pull a move like that.

That's poor form, Valve.
