So what is your Religion? Not what God you believe in, we have enough of those, but people use the term "Religion" without meaning a god. For example I have a friend who is over from India studying and he told me that "Yes, Cricket is a sort of religion in India, when it's on, especially against Australia, everything just stops to watch it." I'd probably also fall into this boat of Cricket being my "religion" as I follow the game with a huge passion.

So I'm sure you've gathered what the question is by now; What is your "Religion?"

Altruism is my "religion". I believe very strongly in it.
Call me an optimistic fool if you must, but I stick by it.

That's me in the spot light, losing my religion....

Oh, right.

I don't really have anything which my life revolves around, which I think is what you're asking. But hey, at least I got the reference in the thread title.

Football, I guess, if you really must press me for a decision.

Whoo, Manchester United and Rosenborg, yay!

Err... Anyway, that's my greatest passion.

Not necessarily "revolve" around, just something you may be passionate about, more so than other things in your life, you may try to fit your life around it at times but it doesn't have to consume you if you get what I mean...?

Rationalism I suppose. But I suppose I'd better put in a sport as well and say fencing (Sabre, ftw).

Scepticism, logic and working towards completing my knowledge. For instance, I refuse to give categorical consent to something even offhandedly until I'm as certain as I can be that it's categorically true.

Music is my religion, I understand the majority of it but there is still some parts I don't understand of the ancient scriptures
For example, what should I listen to when listening to TOOL or Nine Inch Nails?

Sorry if I sound pretentious

No such thing is selflessness, that's not to say no one is kind, or no one has good intention in mind but its just a different flavor of selfishness. Please don't misunderstand my comment as an insult to you or your belief as I don't mean it as a negative. We don't necessarily look out for ourselves but every action we do is to validate our own beliefs, our own codes, principles, or often just for the sake of benefiting us. If I go down and donate to charity I'm doing so because I think its a good thing, and I'm doing something I believe in because I believe in it. Maybe it is just a flawed way of looking at it but I'm hoping you'll understand my point, I don't know of any premeditated actions which are unselfish.

In any case, its better to be an optimistic fool then a cynical one, the scenery is much more pleasing.
