Earlier I was at the doctor's because of some ear pain I was experiencing. He told me that I had "Bullous Myringitis", which he said is often called a "blistering ear infection". You basically have a blister on your ear drum. I have it in both ears. "Well," I had said, "that doesn't sound good." He had responded, "Yeah, I can imagine that your ears hurt."

So, Escapists, what times have you said "that doesn't sound good" and, what is the weirdest disease you have ever had?

PS: While I was at the doctor's, he gave me 3 shots I was due for. With the state of me being sick and having not eaten for several hours, I almost passed out. So that was a fun time for all.

I think you've posted this twice. I got septicaemia once. That really wasn't good.

Its not something i have, but my friend Ryan has something wrong iwth his eyes where he sees things at a slower frame by frame then regular people (probably why he's an awesome goalie). The trade off is he is nearly colour blind and sees in a sorta bloom effect, so he constantly wears shades.

As for me, the only time I really ever said that was once when the doctor told me I had psoriasis, and the other time when the same doctor said I had AIDS cause I wasnt paying attention to what he was saying. Yeah, he likes to screw around with me.

I have Osgood Schlatter's disease in both my knees because of wrestling and soccer. Basically overstretched tendons and a cyst forming between the tendon and the bone. Very painful when you first get it, the pain usually goes away after a few years, but the cyst(and noticable lumps under your kneecaps) stay permanently. Well, the pain would've gone away if I hadn't gone through half a wrestling season without treatment...doh >.<

Four years and my knees are still sensitive, it's bearable, and hit needs to actually be forceful to get a flare-up, but my friends find an endless amount of amusement by abusing this...

My housemate Ben kept whining on about a dull pain in his lower back for weeks, so i kept telling him to go see a doctor. When he did they found he had an ingrowing hair which had become infected. It had caused a massive amount of damage internally and they had to cut it all out as the flesh around it that was infected. It now means that he has a really big dent in his lower back as the hole they cut was so big, despite several skin grafts it never really recovered. I always thought it was so extreme just from an ingrowing hair.

I have a disconnect between my brain and my adrenal glands (in a nutshell), it's a rare condition that occurs in every 1 of like 1000 people. Yeah how unlucky for me. I'm basically stuck taking horrible side effect ridden medications my whole life, and medications to handle the side effect of the medications. I feel like I'm 60 taking like 4 pills every day.

Yesterday I got the test results back from my doctor, and it appears I've got the kissing disease. My first thought was "Well that ain't good I guess". But after thinking it over I thought it wasn't a big deal as I get to skip school a lot for being "too tired". Now, my father is against me going to Rome with my class next month as it would be too tiring for me. FML
