Glad I read this report. When I was younger I distinctly recall doing a vision test that had to do with three dimensional images. Or rather, the fact that I couldn't see them due to my lazy eye, (incidentally this is why I cannot see the sailboat in those frigging pictures...)

Basically this article is saying that I probably won't be able to see the 3D in the 3DS, good to know, I'll stick to my regular DS for now.

Also related to vision: Bloody captcha, took me six tries to find one I could decipher...

Who remembers the days when watching too much TV gave you "square eyes"?
I always figured the solution to this would be to build eye-shaped tellys. Lets not forget the massive does of radiation you would get.

The people who make money treating people with eye problems say this?

I still won't buy one for my niece.
Believe it or not, but most people (certainly not all) who get into medicinal fields do so because they actually want to treat people. You can be cynical about the cost of most treatments all you want, but at the end of the day, who went through 4+ years of college training (not to mention continuous study to keep up-to-date on new discoveries in the field); You, or the doctor? So, do they stand to profit from more children having problems like lazy eye discovered at an early age? Sure. But would you rather that said children NOT have the option of having the problem treated?

Geez, how dare those selfish, greedy doctors look for more ways to treat us. I really wish they'd just close-up shop and stop helping. e_e

man pre-schoolers these days are all ballers. Wish my parents could afford to give me a $200-$300 piece of electronic equipment before the age of 6 <.<
