I miss being a young, intelligent, ignorant, elementary school student. I miss not having the unending desire for a woman in my life. I miss my cheap amusements. I miss Samurai Jack at 9 before I went to sleep. I miss Runescape.

you can still play runescape man, i do all the time, but that didnt come out till 2001. i want to think of things from the 90's people havent named yet but alot of the good shit has already been named. i miss kevin smith movies. buffy the vampire slayer, angel, pirates of dark water, space ghost coast to coast...

The music, the creativity, the clothes, the mindset, Grunge, Bill Clinton, the cheap prices for everything......
I could go on for a while

The Batman Animated Series.

To this day, Mark Hamill's Joker voice is the one I imagine when I read the comics.

Eh, the music beyond all else.. Course i was going from grade school to high school, and then to university during this decade.. Hugely influential.

At the time i didn't realize how true the words "these are the greatest years of your life" were.. To me, at the time, it all seemed to suck...

Man the real world sucks SO much harder.. I really wish i could go back in time to my high school self on my first day in grade 9 and impart my knowledge now on dumbass-me, then....

I'd probably get laid a whole friggin'lot more...

I miss the old cartoons and movies ('94 and '99 were two of the greatest years for movies ever). The 90s were great for that.
What he said. In fact, this sums up my answer completely.

I mostly miss the first 4 years of the 90s. Media sure went downhill in 1998.

MTV not sucking.
Disney not sucking quite as hard.
Nickelodeon not sucking.
VH1 still had Pop-Up Video.
Cartoons for adults on USA & MTV.
Claymation.
Sitcoms.
Road Rules was the ONLY reality show.
Celebrities I didn't hate.
Celebrities were less retarded & skanky.
Vincent Price was still alive.
Cartoons were better.
Cartoons based on video games & comic books.
Music was worth listening to.
Movies were worth paying to see at theaters.
Lack of a worldwide economic crisis.
90s prices.
You could get away withnot knowing who the president was, because no one else cared.
Micheal Jackson's lovely unbotched face, even if I thought he was a Latino woman.
Actually wanting to leave the house & do active things.
Anne Rice still had tallent.
When musicians remade old songs, they didn't suck.
Movie remakes weren't all the rage.
Girlscouts came to your door instead of making you find them.
The government wasn't tapping our phones, computers, printers, or mail.
Concervative republicans were far less annoying.
You didn't have to worry about being sued on a technicality.
It was easier to get away with stuff.
Comedies on BBC in the late 90s.
Animation on Showtime, like Secrets of Treasure Island.
The commercials.
Catchier video game music.
Being able to buy comic books in grocery stores & gas stations.
Roller skating rinks with huge gameing arcades.
Cell animation.
Anime was less cliche & less people knew about it.
Games with 2D graphics.

MTV is a plague. Thundercats can shove a bag of razors up it's snarf.

the old cartoons though were awesome. Dexter's Lab, Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, The Angry Beavers, Batman, Superman... kids nowadays have nothing but lame stuff to watch. I pity them. Even Looney Toons has been deemed too violent.

In regards to everything else though... the 90s sucked. The music was abysmal (three cheers for Kurt Cobain's shotgun!).

The golden age of gaming (SNES/Megadrive generation) is the very reason I decided to become a game designer. I haven't changed my plans since then, although now with the bonus of trying to bring that great feeling back in the staleness the industry has fallen into.

I blame circular logic.
