The Ads led to something good

On Friday I hoped on the Escapist for my usually trolling around. I saw a banner Ad at the top for Guitarsmith. I was intrigued. I clicked on it and did a little extra research. Today I bought my own Guitar and the game on pre-order (2 days to go!).

Moral of the story - A Banner Ad did something useful. I will be playing a really cool game and learning a great skill in the process. I may never have known if not for the banner Ad.

What marvelous things have Banner Ads done for you?

A couple ads here and there have lead me to webcomics that I now love (Urban Jungle, Misfile, Barflys, etc. etc.)

For some reason I thought you maybe were gonna talk about the annoying horrible Slim Jim ads they play before almost every video. Those ads have done some good (for me) because thanks to those I'm never going to eat another slim jim as long as I live.
