No problem, man, I hope she enjoys it. I'm probably going to shell out the money for it, because as it said, I think it's hard to go wrong with that favourable a price. I can't see myself not enjoying the game, despite hearing comments about it being "dumbed down". It got pretty stellar reviews from what I can see on wiki.
I wouldn't say dumbed down persé its deffintley more stream lined i would call it more tidy over dumbed down. But yeah i sat her down yesturday on my pc 2 hours later i had to nearly get a crowbar to get her off the pc and down the pub lol
This situation with GAME UK, I did go in to gamestation yesterday and picked up Yakuza 3, Ratchet and Clank ToD, Mass Effect 2 and Saints Row 2 for £18.
While im.happy at the bargain I got, I cant help but feel it could be the last purchase I make in there, and it kind of makes me feel a little down/nervous.

With Mass Effect swamping the Gaming Discussion Board, let's talk about something else for a change. Kind of a random thread, but a place where we can discuss different games and avoid the rage and gushing.
So, Bioshock 2 was on the Steam Sale. I've played the first and I really liked it, but I heard that the PC version of 2 was extremely glitchy and buggy compared to consoles. I'm still interested, but I want to hear someone's opinion before I go ahead.
And, random topic discussion for anything else not Mass Effect 3 related.

With 6 of the, I believe, 10 threads (currently on page 1) next to each other. I did the screenshot but then realised I had nowhere to post it aside from creating another thread. So I didn't.
Anyway, OT (ho, ho): Can anybody recommend me a good game with magic involved? I sort of liked the way the Elder Scrolls allowed you to make your spells, I absolutely loved Magicka for the spellcasting system and I'm looking for something vaguely similar - where you have some freedom in spellcasting. I recently heard about TOME 4[footnote]I can't remember who mentioned it but it was somebody here on the Escapist. Thanks again, dude.[/footnote] which apparently has drawbacks of magic in that it's really dangerous. I liked that as well (also part of Magicka).
Other than that, today I heard about a new Carmageddon game in the works. Carmageddon: Reincarnation [http://carmageddon.com/reincarnation]. Any comments, opinions insults or praises for that? Personally, I liked the news - I like Carmageddon.

I didn't enjoy the 2nd bioshock, however my friend did and said they key to enjoying it was to play through with just the drill and plasmids, he said he actually felt like a big daddy rather than generic shooter man 6758
Bioshock 2 for PC has some shitty textures, otherwise I enjoyed it.
OT:I am fifteen characters away from getting platinum in Tekken 6. I have two blisters on my thumb due to Azazel being a cheap little ***** making me work the D-pad too hard. I am not proficent with at least five of these characters so I have no idea what to do.
Currently 12/25 threads on the front page are about ME3 for me...urgh.
Has anyone else still been playing minecraft recently? Despite all the negative press 1.0 got about being rushed it's actually really good now...the game seems finished for once, although I'm fairly sure they'll continue adding more stuff.
I'm currently in the process of rebuilding my floating island fortress paradise...thing in the 1.2 world format. Doubled height limit FTW. I mean seriously, the game is only improving. What's everyone's deal with 1.0+?
Oh, I'm also going through my second character, a pure mage build, on Skyrim. The magic system breaks the game so much; it's a freaking cakewalk even on Master difficulty.
I played it up until the Kaedwin section of Roche's storyline. After that, the Dark 2.0 Update killed the visuals for my game and I've been holding off until the Enhanced Edition.
Mass Effect 1+2: 1 Playthrough= 60 hours: Disks: 3
All other 360 Games: 1 Playthrough= about 5-6 hours: Disks: 1
Sorry XBox, you lose out to the sheer amount of time it takes to play a Final Fantasy game from the last generation. Besides, the stories back in those days were much better.
Well neither. It is real time strategy game, viewed from above. The gameplay is somewhat like DoW2, you choose 4 differnt characters between missions, they learn new abilities and there is a highly interactive and destructable enviroment. It is great fun climbing onto a tall building and then shoving an enemy off the endge, or just picking up a car and hurling at someone.
