The series got ridiculous at the very point where Wesker exclaimed "Wow! What a MANSION!".

It doesn't really bother me how monumentally stupid the games are, I still enjoy them.

Sorry, thought we were talking about Wesker at first. I guess I'll say, why does Wesker wear sunglasses in the dark?
One thing I like about Chris though, he has a magic shotgun that only needs two shells to fill it to capacity.
Wesker needs those sunglasses becuase
1: they are vital to a cutscene late in the game where he throws the glasses at chris only for the dipshit to catch them
2:they`re awesome

So when did they lose you with the realism? Was it the ZOMBIES?

I think he looks fine for a friggin special forces/army agent, which is what he's supposed to be...
You'd think he would be a little more intelligent for a special forces agent.
True he does come across as a complete idiot "godammit wesker! he`s actually serious about destroying the entire planet!!!" i think that says it all

So does Leon. They must shop at the same gun store.

Why were you focusing on someone's arms when there are lines like
Chris Redfield said:
"Goddamnit Wesker! He's actually serious about destroying the planet!"
spewing out of their mouths?

Resident Evil has always been slightly skewed towards the hammy and ridiculous.

Hey, Wesker... The Matrix called, they want you back.
SRSLY!

His almost blindingly shiny pants were not very avoidable either. when his big introduction came and the camera lingered around his pants as if they were a fashion statement I could have sworn he was about to challenge chris to a disco dance off
A dance off you say?... Now that would have been cool.

hes not that oversized, saying that it took me a couple of hours to realise that little thing ontop of his torso was his head.

No, it wasn't always ridiculous. At first, it was about a bio-experiment gone wrong, albeit partially ridiculous, though still believable in a purely video game sense.

The series started getting numb after Resident Evil 2, and then with #4 where they held nothing back in the campy horror story department.

Resident Evil 5 is a complete departure into the ridiculous. With cheesy anime inspired characters and a pseudo-MGS plot. The entire time I felt like I was playing a horror spin-off of Metal Gear Solid, without the stealth. Though, not like MGS4 had any stealth going on either. It's as if all games are being assimilated into an amorphous action game substance.

Has anyone found it strange that once you get infinite ammo for any gun, you no longer have to reload??? Use a semi-auto sniper and suddenly, you have no problems taking out ANYONE.

You are aware, this is the point of infinite ammo? It is designed to make the game easier than it already is and what better way to do it than unlimited bullets in a massively overpowered weapon? It removes the downsides of more powerful weapons like the shotgun, rocket launcher and the sniper rifles. I personally like the challenge and turn off infinite ammo, despite buying all of them for the sake of completion..

They make a big deal out of magazines that set expectations too high for girls but guys have it worse. Every high school has a couple of girls as hot as a movie star or doll. There isn't a man on earth that looks like the guys in gears of war.

Yeah, yeah, I know, but there should have been TWO uber upgrades for guns, infinite ammo, THEN never having to reload.
