Australia won the toss, elected to bat first in the second test in Adelaide. Katich has been run out without facing a ball and Ponting was caught for a golden duck. Watson and Clarke now at the crease. Australia 0 - 2 after the first over.

Clarke's run of "form" continues. He is out caught for 2 runs off the bowling of Anderson. Australia now 2 runs for 3 wickets. Hussey joins Watson at the crease.

Yes it is...
Yes! Very good.
Well clearly by my avatar I'm Aussie, therefore it is VERY bad... Not that I actually expected Clarke to make any runs.
Watson and Hussey are in on a pitch which is as flat as 2-month old cola.

I'd say you're fine....

Being English and a rather fanatical cricket fan from an early age, I am currently listening to the just-started ashes series on the radio.
For those who don't know, the ashes is the biggest rivalry in international cricket, a series of matches played between England and Australia for the Ashes urn, which contains the ashes of the bails from the first match played between England and Australia.
I'm not entirely sure why I'm stating this thread, partly because I couldn't see a similar one when I searched and want to share this great sporting occasion with the world.
So, any of you following the current series, supporting either side, have a prediction on the final outcome? Let's make this the thread for anyone wanting updates on the current series.
Krikkit [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Places_in_The_Hitchhiker%27s_Guide_to_the_Galaxy#Krikkit]'s better

I do have faith in Watson and Hussey but the selectors need to revamp the entire team for the next test.

Nope, just two different bowlers.

That is half your bowling attack.....

Which batsmen should they ditch then?

You say half, I don't rate Doherty as a bowler. Haurtiz should be in.

They need to replace Clarke until he finds form and replace North with Ferguson (favoritism there =P )

I must admit I was impressed by Hauritz on the last tour. Having heard all the pundits say "He ain't a match winning spinner." I was impressed by the shear amount of spin he got on the ball, but he always looked like a schoolboy wearing that long sleeved shirt.

I think you Australians judge all spinners harsher than other countries because you're used to Shane Warne, but I agree that doherty is a bit average.

When(Or if) the IPL starts again, watch him there. He really puts all those upstart Indian batsmen in their place.
