He said he's start the RP some time in early July I think, which means we'll probably be finding out who's in soon enough, but you've still got time if you want to post a sheet. Rest assured they are reviewing them.
This is all true.

I hope that you haven't closed the rp yet, since I'd really like to apply for this, particularly given some of the other submissions. Regardless, I'll edit in a completed sheet not too long from now.
I don't think its been closed yet. I'm not the GM...

but so far... the OP has been a bit slow to respond to anything. I don't know if they've reviewed or accepted a single sheet yet.
I'm super busy until next Tuesday, so I won't likely announce who all is accepted until that time. The window for submissions is open until that time. I am hoping I'll have time to go through the submissions received so far with Binnsy tomorrow. I have a few people in mind that have more or less been accepted already, but I'll wait to announce all accepted sheets at the same time.

What is that I see? Is that Daystar getting ready to backpedal faster than an Oblivion archer? I think it is... assuming he wants Lilith to see tomorrow >:D

EDIT: We should probably stop this derail now XD

Because every band of space cowboys needs an out of place priest. The bio is still pretty basic, I can expand on his past in greater deal or it could be kept secret for a fun reveal at some point if you're into that kind of thing. Will hopefully be able to get to work on a bandit family character tomorrow too.

Name: Florian A.K.A. The Padre
Age: 26
Sex: Male
Profession: (Iron Maiden) Ship Priest, cook and bandit by association.

Appearance: The majority of Florian's wardrobe consists mainly of faded blacks and greys. The only exceptions being a dirty, green, shortcoat he wears when going off ship and a red scarf he keeps on his person, occationally tieing it around his arm. The scarf is well kept and looks very looked after, except for it's middle where the stitching is rough and disturbed as if something had been torn off it.

Florian prefers practicality and comfort over style or flash. His clothes are all old and have been in his possesion for a long time, in fact the only fresh ones he owns are a pair of boots he had to buy after the soles of his old ones wore through. He tends to dress in layers always finishing up with his frayed, faded cardigan. It looks to have been knitted by hand and with care, though the sleeves are showing their age and Florian has a habit of toying with the loose threads when his hands are idle. He always wears a dark shirt underneath it, complete with priest collar.

He isn't an overly clean person, happy to get stuck in with the rest of the crew, leaving his fingers perpetually stained black like many a commoner. Florian cleans himself when possible but he will tends to go without if water is short or others need it more. Despite his seeming lack of concern for appearances Florian always stands up straight and smart. He walks quickly, with purpose and everything he does he does meticulously. His face is a mask of calm self control, though it seems to slip in times of duress to show a sadness in his eyes that he just can't shake.

His hair is a mess of dark brown curls and his eyes are a murky blue. Despite the tan he gained from his lifestyle Florian is naturally pale in complexion. Those things along with his faint Eastern European accent can give him away as being from the city of Frost Fall up in the north of the continent.

Personality: Outwardly calm and easy going, Florian comes across like a counselor or therapist. He does his best to display godly virtues and he does seem to be the most patient among the crew. Always in control of himself and seemingling never without something to do, Florian seems like he's got it all figured out. He doesn't, not totally.

He knows what he wants to be, he knows the life he wants to live. He just hasn't worked out how to do it yet as parts of his old self struggles to get its time in the sunshine. This can turn him into a busy body as he finds it easier to forget about his own issues if he has someone else's to focus on. In theory it isn't hard, priests exist to serve after all.

Despite his serving in a civilian role, Florian shows no great discomfort around the violent actions the crew has to commit they just send him into a state of melancholy that someone usually has to shake him out of unless they want him moping about the place.

Biography: Florian doesn't talk about his life before he entered the priesthood. Whenever someone asks about it he always manages to deflect the question or change the subject. This went on long enough that the rest of the crew have mostly given up on asking him.

What is known about him is that he came looking to join up with Pixie and The Maiden, claiming that he wanted to do everything he could to help them in their mission and to help the less fortunate. He isn't counted among the muscle or the techs of the crew, instead serving in a more spiritual capacity and the occational advisor to Pixie. He also pays his weight as the ship cook. When he isn't helping to hold something in place for the mechanics or hosting a talk in his room (which he's set up as a crude chapel) then he's busying himself in the mess hall. The veteran crew members agree the place was never so clean until he took it over.

Notes: Like all bandit priests Florian keeps a Bible on his person, however unlike his counterparts his isn't hollowed out to make space for a gun. No, that he keeps hidden on his person. The gun itself looks like a luger with a modified handle as well as a few fresher parts. The antique frame mixing with the occational modern piece.

Florian favours pistols above any other weapon and is unnervingly quick on the draw, though none of the crew know this. Except for cleaning and maintaining his gun (which he does in private) none of them have ever seen him do anything violent since he joined up and that's the way he plans to keep it.

Name - Erik Ablev
Gender - Male
Age - 57

Profession - Bandit captain

Appearance - Erik is a pale tower, at full height he's a few inches short of seven feet and is built like an old tiger. Time and age may have robbed him of his glorious muscle definition but the power is still there.

With his perpetually scruffy short hair and neatly groomed beard, all of which has turned snow white, Erik could have the appearance of some little girl's favorite lumbering grandfather. If it wasn't for the bags under his eyes and his nose that's been broken so many times over the years he's just given up. When people see Erik they often assume he's the dumb bruiser that smarter bosses drag out when they want someone broken, they do so at their own risk.

Personality - Erik is old school Frostfall down to his core. he doesn't care for long bouts of smack talk and has been fighting for so long that threats and smack talk bore him. A real man talks with his actions and needs little else.

He wasn't always like this though. There was a time once that Erik would have savored a good debate, but what's the point of it in this day and age?

His respect is something that must be earned the old fashioned way, which has put him at loggerheads with a few of the younger generations of the family but Erik's set in his ways and is yet to find someone he's willing to change for who's still among the living. He's lost a lot of people over the course of his violent career, only the family has remained constant and he holds it higher than anything else.

He takes great pride in his personal discipline and that which he instills in those under his command, though recently he's been finding it easier than usual to lose himself to the red mist.

Biography - People often forget that Erik wasn't born into the bandit trade or dragged into it young. He did well in school, a real bookworm with a sparkling young mind and a love of the intricate ins and outs of the various legal systems that flowed through each dome. He even accepted an academic scholarship to one of the finest law schools on all the rock in Calico (Go Sabres!).

He even made a good go of it. Living a nice, comfortable, safe, LEGAL, little life all of his own. He felt proud of himself. He even rocked the university wrestling team and set a new weight lifting record. His size and threatening accent were enough to cut an imposing figure in the courtroom. It was all going great until one fateful holiday when he went back to his native Frostfall to say his last goodbyes.

It was here that he met and quickly fell under the sway of a young Vasa Bejic. Vasa span Erik all kinds of tales about his dreams for the dome and what he thought it could become. The two of them became fast friends and Vasa showed Erik a side of his mother dome he had never dared enter before. It was like a whole new world. It didn't come without a price though, before he knew it Erik had discovered the thrilling world of a bandit consigliere, where the carbon was great, the cases were challenging and the clients were always grateful. Soon enough he was hooked.

His slide into the more violent side of things wasn't some great story. Look at Erik, look at Frostfall, those two were a match made in heaven. One was never shy about fighting and the other was never shy about sending fights other people's way. Over time Erik rose through the ranks, he became Vasa's right hand man and was taken with him when old man Bejic died and Vasa took control of the family.

With his unique skill set Erik played a huge part in preparing Vasa's only child, Florian, to take his father's place and to complete their year spanning plan to supplant the nobility. Then Florian died and the gloves came off. The attack that claimed his life would change everything. He had already lost friends, lovers, and now the boy he helped raise. And now there's less and less worth fighting for these days it seems.

Notes - Erik has always been pretty open about his homosexuality. Frostfall's never been welcoming to the gay minority and its criminal element even less so. Other Hussars made it very tough for Erik when he first joined up, one of them even called him out because of it.

Then Erik broke both their arms and people learned to shut up about it.

It's still a tad unfinished I'm afraid, but with the deadline looming I thought it best to at least show my interest. Hope that it's okay.

Name: Salvador Grimson

Age: 30

Sex: Male

Profession: Bounty Hunter (Former Bandit)

Appearance: At first glance at Salvador, you might not imagine from his raven-black slicked hair and handsome features that he is a man who has seen more in his short time on this planet than most people see in a lifetime.

If one were to look closer however, they would see that his initially vibrant complexion has been heavily weathered by the constant bombardment of the sun's rays, leaving him heavily tanned with a subtle mottling to his skin. His hair too, under closer scrutiny reveals itself to be more straw-like than first seemed, most likely too a result of the sun coupled with the heat and arid atmosphere.

He is also well toned, and can be seen as an imposing figure at being 6ft tall. Outside of this, one of the most striking features of Salvador's are his hazel coloured eyes. They are known to (if they catch the sun at the right angle) to gleam like a pair of shining gems.

On the topic of clothing, as a bandit-turned-mercenary he has learned the hard way that the best way to dress is to "be prepared". As such, Sal wears rather practical gear; a set of canvas trousers worn with reinforced steel-toed boots and a pair of brown leather suspenders that he lets hang from his waist alongside the holster for his gun, along. On top he wears a ballistic vest over a sleeveless shirt, with a pair of elbow pads and a sheath for his knife on his left shoulder. Outside the biodomes he prefers a full face gas mask, as well as sometimes supplementing his outfit with a loose fitting poncho.

Personality: He is almost always eager to appear friendly to others, often with a smile. However this smile is seemingly almost always an empty gesture. When people notice this they tend not to point it out, however when they do mention it,] Salvador appears almost sad, but is quick to laugh it off, telling them they read too much into things.

When he can relax aboard the Iron Maiden, he tends to keep mostly to himself, but whenever there is drinking involved you can be sure to find him amongst the others, singing hearty songs and exchanging well wishes with his peers. Outside of drunken socialising Sal is normally quite blunt with his thoughts on matters, even if those thoughts are incredibly pessimistic, earning him the nickname of "Grim". Whilst he knows it in jest, Salvador has turned this nickname into something that his enemies fear.

In battle, he is incredibly efficient, caring little for who or how many he slaughters in return for his next payday. Killing is just a business for him, with murder being the only skill he has ever known, but damn is he good at it.

Biography: TBC

Notes: Sal's preferred choice of equipment are the results of much blood-soaked work to scrounge together the necessary carbs for some decent firepower, coupled with countless years of experimentation with different firearms until he found "the ones", weapons that he would then practice with so that they felt like a natural extension of his body.

Let's start with his his pride and joy- a Model 1921 Thompson Submachine Gun with a 50-round drum magazine and improved internals. The gun also has custom decals engraved along the side of the receiver, amongst which is the symbol of his old Bandit Family- 'Los Buenos y los Muertos'.
It seems ironic to him that his ill gotten gains from his life as bandit has since been used to buy the weapon which Salvador now uses to kill bandits on an almost daily basis.

His choice of side-arm is another relatively uncommon specimen on the Rock, being a Mauser C96 semi-automatic pistol. It has been modified in order for it to use the same .45 ACP ammunition as his Thompson, as well as being converted to be able to fire fully-auto at the flick of a switch.

Salvador's final weapon is both a killing implement and a valuable utility tool. A large khukri he traded off a merchant for the last of his drinking water whilst travelling through a Biodome comprised almost entirely of market stalls peddling antique curios. It was the glint of the blade that caught his eye, and something about its elegant design that seemed to resonated deep inside him. He knew at that moment that it was worth going an unknown amount of time without water. He never regretted the purchase one bit, as the blade more than paid its dues, being stained with the blood of many an enemy.

Just need a little more time still

Yo. Sorry if there are any problems with the sheet (my time was a bit limited), but other than that, here it is:

Name: Justinian Marcus Reuben III. (Or just Justin)
Age: Thirties
Sex: A Manly Man
Profession: Sheriff/Wandering Lawman

Appearance: Justin's appearance is muted and subtle, and even his 'casual' demeanor implies a mix of courtesy and upheld standards rarely seen outside of a person's professional life. Justin's physical attributes consist of a light brown beard and matching ear-length hair, paired with a frame that is trained to be dexterous and accurate rather than mighty and overpowering. He also has a decently heavy tan that refuses to go away, no matter how much Justin shelters his skin.

On the clothing front, his attire is never overly vibrant and often a little bit loose or baggy. He sports a brown duster, a wide-brimmed leather hat, and khaki pants, and he keeps his three pistols (semi-automatic, think Colt 1911s) holstered in his belt, with no small amount of spare magazines on the opposite side. Under his outside attire generally lies a sleeveless vest and a simple cord with a simple ring around it.

Personality: Justin is a dedicated lawman, vigilant fighter, and experienced wanderer. He takes his profession seriously and addresses his victims without mercy, because both of them have already picked their sides. Despite his "serious business" mannerisms, our hero appreciates more relaxing and aesthetically pleasing things as much as the next guy. Justin also has a smoking habit, more specifically he favors the pipe. A quirk related to that is that he doesn't like expensive/high-quality tobacco; it just rubs his the wrong way and tastes funny to him.

Biography: Justin has never been a wealthy man. He was born to a divorcee (Karen Martin) who had been kicked from her semi-respectable family for infidelity, and wound up drifting from settlement to settlement with her son and no one else. Although her predicament was rough, Karen refused to resort to illegalities to sustain her. Justin, though, had no such qualms despite his mother's insistences. Throughout his illustrious career as a child thief, Justin grew quite skilled with his fingers and hands. When in the presence of his mother though, Justin was a preciously innocent child. He never let Karen know about his sins, and it stayed that way until her death when Justin was seventeen. As Karen lay on her deathbed, immensely proud of her son before her, she asked if Justin had ever done something illegal to support her. Unable to break his mother's heart at this point in time, the soon-to-be Sheriff replied with "No" and wept as his mother passed away.

He took her favorite ring as a memento after her death (the only thing she was allowed to keep after her divorce), and began his life as a Sheriff, atoning for the lies his mother believed in by living a righteous life and making others do the same.

Notes: Justin fights in the short to mid range with his three pistols. He uses all three at the same time with a style that is derived from from juggling and old gunslinger tricks.

As you can see we had a hard time narrowing down the list. I was originally looking for 6-7 players (besides Binnsy and myself), but there were too many cool sheets to choose from. There are still a few more I would have liked to include, but it will be hard enough juggling 10 other players as it is! Congratulations to everyone who got accepted!

For anyone who didn't get accepted this time around: as the RP progresses we may have players come and go for whatever reason. If I feel we have one too many vacant spots open in the RP I will reopen submissions and you are free to resubmit a previously submitted sheet or create an entirely new one.

In a bit I will create the Skype chat channel. PM me your Skype name so I can add you to the chat! I plan to formally start the RP once everyone's had a chance to check in and I can discuss when and where your characters will come into the story.

Thanks everyone!

Damn not accepted. Oh well. Just one question? I thought there was a one character limit? Or did I miss something?
You could submit as many sheets as you wanted. I actually may end up bribbing some of the players into rolling additonal characters later on. Sorry you didn't make it in :(

I wouldn't say much needs changing other than the fact that your gear's a bit too high-end for a member of the Iron Maidens. In the end we ended up needing to choose between two different former Nobles >.>

[HEADING=1]The Ashlanders - Chapter 1: The Great Train Robbery of 3129[/HEADING]

Meredith "Pixie" Monroe had carefully reviewed the plan of attack for the past few days, as was standard for train robberies. You always need a thorough plan when taking on such a massive score. Never go in half-cocked, as they say. If only such a philosophy could coexist with reality. Unfortunately, Pixie knew all too well that there were always going to be variables involved that you couldn't prepare for. Things you never saw coming. This robbery would be no different.

She was good at devising strategies, but if you're living a bandit's life you've got to learn to improvise. "Wing it" may as well have been Pixie's motto. She was also impartial to, "Fuck it! We'll do it live!"

Pixie stood alone in the dimly lit hangar, reviewing a map of the Feroxi region. Ruffles had already prepped the hangar for assault. All of the Ashcrawlers, large Humvee-like vehicles, sat in a row, fueled up and ready to go. The rest of the 25-man crew were likely doing their own preparation elsewhere. It was a large iron-husk of a ship, but still felt a bit cramped due to its narrow hallways and decent sized crew.

She checked the time on the old clock on the wall. He should be calling any second now...

Suddenly, the silence of the hangar was broken by a loud buzz as a old machine in the corner of the room began printing a piece of paper in Morse code:

"Train just left. Should reach the valley in an hour's time. Good luck."

A sly smirk broke out across Pixie's lips as she grabbed her radio off the table, flipped the frequency to that of the ship's PA system and began barking orders, "Listen up, Maidens! We've got us a train lookin' fer a good ol' fashioned butt fuckin' in the valley this mornin'. Y'all reckon they've got lube handy?!" She paused a moment as to hear the feint laughter echoing through the hallow halls of the Maiden.

She put her boot down on top of the iron table and continued, "I wanna to see my Valkyries down in the hangar ASA-fucking-P! You got it?!"

****************************************************************************************************************************************************

Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!

Axel "Sprout" Monroe, Pixie's adopted son, had slept in this morning. He had mere seconds of scrambling to do before Pixie would march up to his quarters and beat him over the head with a cinder-block. With no time to think he threw his kevlar vest on, put on his favorite hat and grabbed his gear. He'd have to equip himself properly during the briefing.

It didn't help that he had stayed up late listening to a few of the crew members' alcohol-fueled stories. Most of which involved Sprout's chief interest: loose women. Once the men had retired to their quarters (or passed out on the floor) Sprout spent the remainder of the night fantasizing in his head about naked women. Chief among them being Casino.

He had a bit of a crush.

Everyone knew it.

... It was awful.

*****************************************************************************************************************************************************

Elizabeth Maribel was finally here. After ten long years since her family formally promised her to Dio Basilio, her late sister's widower, she was on her way to marry the man. She'd spent most of her years living a sheltered life among Boomhower's elite and hadn't spent much time outside the dome she called home. A trip like this was not familiar experience.

After getting up early to finish packing, she boarded the first class train car with the rest of the nobles. Most of them were likely there for the wedding as well, though she didn't recognize most. They were family "friends" that likely hadn't seen her since she was in diapers. As she came aboard she double-checked her seating assignment. Her family had already arrived days ago in preparation for the wedding, so she'd have to spend the long trip with a perfect stranger.

Eventually she found her seat, a woman with red hair was already seated across from her. As she sat down she greeted her with a smile, "Lady Josephine I presume? I'm Elizabeth Maribel. It's a pleasure to meet you."

******************************************************************************************************************************************************

It took no more than a minute or two for her "Valkyries" to answer the call. The ragtag team of misfits may have been manifestations of chaos itself, but there's was a focused chaos. They were all loyal to Pixie because she gave them purpose. Directed their fury at those that deserved punishment. Sprout, disheveled as always, was the last to show up, "What's wrong, kid? Get yer peepee caught in'yer fly again?"

Sprout blushed and began organizing his gear. He was quite used to people laughing at his expense. He had a long way to go, it seemed.

After the laughter died down Pixie pointed straight into the air, "Alrighty, Maidens... this is what's up." She threw her hand down dramatically, placing her finger on the map on the table. "The train just left ol' Boomhower a bit ago. Should be findn' its way to the valley in about an hour."

She glanced around the room to gauge their reactions before continuing, "The Maiden'll drop our ashcrawlers down a few miles out. We're to intercept our mark here," She pointed to a spot on the train tracks a few miles from the valley. "Intel suggests they've gotta train full'a them nasty-ass Ivory foot soldiers in the back. A few cars full'a carbon and other loot in front'a that and passenger cars between the cargo and the engine."

Pixie stood up straight and crossed her arms, "Our primary targets are those milk-drinking fucks in first class. They should make for a mighty fine ransom. Our secondary target is the cargo they're hauling. With that in mind, this is how the lot of us er' gonna take down this score." She pointed to the valley on the map. "Ricky-Ticky here rigged the entrance ta' the valley with enough dynamite ta' level a small town. Before we get ta' that point, however, I reckon we're gonna want to separate the masters from their hounds."

She traced her finger along the train tracks, "We're gonna split this crew up: Aesop and Ruffles, you're with me. We're gonna drive up along side the train, providen' fire support and coordinaten' the team's communication. Aesop, yer doin' the driven'. We need ta' get Ruffles ta' the engine so's he can commandeer the train. Now, we're gonna half to be careful here. The engine'll be protected by Ivory soldiers, so if I don't see a safe openin' we're gonna to have to fall back on on Plan B." She pointed to the valley as she spoke. "Any conductor worth a damn'll see the blast comin' from the valley and hit the breaks. I'd just prefer if we didn't hafta ruin such an beautiful landmark."

She looked to Smiles and Ricky, "Smiles and Ricky'll lead the bulk of our men in an assault on the back train car. Smiles, I'll need you ta' get Ricky aboard the train so's he can detach the car from the rest of the train with a bit of his explosive-know-how. This'll need to happen ASAP as the whole point is ta' isolate the bulk of their forces. Take prisoners if ya can, but don't doubt fer a second that this is the most dangerous part of the job. Kill or be killed, Maidens."

Finally, she set her gaze on Casino, Sprout and Padre, "Kid, you and Casino will make yer way ta' the first class car and secure it. You need ta' escort Padre there as soon as yer able, cause' the nobles'll have a cow real quick if we don't have him there to work his magic and calm them the fuck down. Tradin' bullets with soldiers is one thing, but being cramped in a tight space with a bunch'a pissed off folks is an entirely different animal. Watch each other's backs and DO NOT kill any of the passengers, got that!?"

Satisfied with her own plan she placed her hands on her hips and nodded, "Once the soldiers are dealt with, the passenger cars are secured, and we got full control of the train we'll call in the Maiden fer pick up. First, we'll round up all them noble fuckers and pick a few prisoners. Lootin' the train comes second, no exceptions." After a few moments of silence she barked once more, "Any questions?!"

"I wanna to see my Valkyries down in the hangar ASA-fucking-P! You got it?!"

Smiles was content with sitting in a random hallway, playing with his gun. Really just practicing reloading, ejecting the clip, catching it in the air, jamming it back in... it was all rather soothing. He smiled as he repeated the action for the umpteenth time, but then the radio sparked to life, interrupting his peace.

If it wasn't Pixie, he was likely to have started shooting. As it stood, it was her. Spelling at them, though he wasn't likely to start shooting over that. He grunted, standing up and making his way over to the conference room. He sighed as he made it, seemed he was going to be one of the first again. He half paid attention to her speech, only perking up when his name was called.

"Alrighty, Maidens... this is what's up. Blah blah blah, Warren is my favorite and I am totally not afraid of him, he is huggable like a puppy. Smiles and Ricky'll lead the bulk of our men in an assault on the back train car. Smiles, I'll need you ta' get Ricky aboard the train so's he can detach the car from the rest of the train with a bit of his explosive-know-how. This'll need to happen ASAP as the whole point is ta' blah blah blah. Kill or be killed, Maidens."

Warren gave a small salute, as he pulled out his scarf. He wrapped it around, covering up to the tips of his scars, as well as mouth, nostrils, neck, etc. He would put on his mask when he got there, but for now he craddled his rifle. Murder time was coming soon, and all he had to do was put up with the Blondie. Unfortunately, more words followed and Warren held in his sigh. So. Fucking. BORING.

"Any questions?!"

"Nope, I'm good. Murder time, fun time...." His eyes seemed to glaze over as he looked to the humvee's, in anticipation.
