Subject Vaude, Yep. My old one died awhile ago. And since it's not under warranty (and I happened to be out shopping for other stuff anyway) I went ahead and got the 'S' Xbox console to replace it. I like some of the features but others I don't. Like the lack of component cables...that wasn't a nice thing to find out *after* I got home.

Subject Vaude, Well the wireless capability is built in...but with having to buy extra cables to get the R/G/B component ability back, I think the price will almost even out. (I don't know for sure I'm just a little irked about it). You don't 'push' the eject or power button anymore. You just sort of hover over the pseudo-button's light and the machine beeps and then turns off/ejects. It's interesting. The controller's a bit smaller (which I like) and the joystick part seems to be more responsive than the previous model.

Subjects Vaude and Sas, Also, it's almost silent. My laptop sounds like an airplane compared to this model. It does give off heat from the fan on the 'top' - I have mine sitting horizontally - but it's very quiet. It's smaller/more compact. Which is nice except that it means the older 360 hard drives don't fit. And there's no slot for the original 360 memory cards (the chunky white things). Umm...there's 4 USB connections in the back, as opposed to the one they had before.

Subject Vaude, Hehe :-D...I like it. What amuses me is I set out to buy a couch for my place...and came back with an Xbox instead. Whoops? xD. The couch has to wait until next month now.

I would like a Slim model myself for the silence (It would make night time gaming a joy) as well as other things, subject RB but funds have put a massive halt on that idea. My current 360 is a second hand Elite and it does need replacing with a newer, better model, I feel. I'm not too fussed about game-saves and that so I don't mind that. Plus, when I get decent internet, I'll just recover my Gamertag.

Subject Sas, Ah...I think mine that died was the second one that came out...Zephyr or something like that. I would have preferred it lasted a bit longer. I learned my lesson though and got an extended warranty on this one...via Best Buy.

I think it might have been the Jaspers, subject RB. But yeah, I'm on my 4th 360 now. It's weird this second hand one has lasted longer then new ones and the "repaired" ones as well.
