Moving there next month was just wondering

1.Now that micheal atkinsons gone are more games being left as god intended them?

2.What are the chances that r18 things going to get through?

3.Does australia have a higher piracy rate than other nations because of game censorship?

4.Whens the R18 thing does pass will games like L4D2 get a xbox live/PSN patch to unlock the full game?

Any other info would be appreciated as stupid as it sounds the R18 thingy is the thing pissing me off the most about moving there =/

And it seems that old Mike was hiding all the other church and parent groups against games in the shadow of his ego. Now that he's gone, they've all come out to play.

And games are hideously overpriced there, I mean, $90 for a new game? Come on!

Lol don't worry too much about moving here.
1.Micheal Atkinson never had any bearing on how games were classified, although the R18+ rating is a little bit closer than before now that he's gone.

2. I'd say reasonably high, assuming the politicians get off their fat arses some time in the next 6 months and start thinking like normal human beings.

3. Piracy isn't any higher here than anywhere else in the world a.k.a it's just as full of selfish arseholes as everywhere else.

4.If (when) the R18+ thing passes, L4D2 will probably not get a patch until VALVe resubmits it for a proper review. Also L4D2 isn't on PS3. ;P

May I ask where you're moving to and from? I live down in Melbounre, so it's pissing down at the moment.

As for prices, try $100 or $110 for a game. Seriously, I get so sick of americans whining about the prices of games. the Australian dollar is buying about .98USD at the moment, so when they have to pay $100 bucks for a game, then I'll listen. XD

You're an idiot, stop making him feel secure by lying. Those drop bears don't kill you and eat you, they eat you alive.

I know you want to make them seem like they aren't that bad... but don't blatantly mislead him, he should know what a cruel animal the drop bear is.

I'm sorry it's just that i had to lie other wise he wouldn't come and then.....and then.....the drop bears would come FOR ME.

I really don't notice the whole R18 thing being too much of a problem, but I guess that's not really saying much as I haven't lived anywhere more liberal with gaming. I don't think that piracy is much more of a problem. Over all I quite like it here. You should enjoy it.
