Ok, so before I begin this thread it goes without saying that this is going to contain spoilers about the Avengers. Turn away if you have no interest in being exposed to plot points from the movie, turn back now.
Ok, so to begin, The Avengers is, by far, the greatest Marvel movie ever made. Exceptional character developement, amazing actions sequences and a surprising level of very funny jokes and one liners (without becoming cheesy).
The best scenes were easily the Hulks, his final showdown with Loki was a scene I will always remember fondly.
A brilliant movie all around.

This brings me to my actual point, for any hardcore fans of the Marvel universe you might have already picked up on some hints througout some of the movies leading up to the Avengers (partcularly Thor), relating to the future 'big bad' of the franchise. For anybody who has ever followed Marvel continuity, the name Thanos will ring a bell. Thats right people, THANOS, post credit scene, with one of his lackeys stating 'To fight Earth would be to court death herself'.
So, how do you guys think they will develope him as an enemy and introduce him into the other films (Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Captain America 2 etc.)? Are you happy with the introduction of him as a future enemy (given that very few people outside of comic readers will know who he is)? Would you prefer another of the Avengers enemies?
