im voting for the end boss in banjo kazooie - gruntilda

she attacks with never ending barrages of fireballs, pausing for mere seconds so that you can launch eggs, which takes time! plus she ONLY talks in couplets for cryin out loud! but heres the real icing on the cake, gruntilda.... is the ONLY boss i have EVER, to this day, played, who can actually PREDICT your actions, meaning if you run in a straight line your toast! (but not literally, that would be silly)

Psychomantis from Metal Gear Solid...the only boss that would literally read your memory card and then proceed to taunt you like The French guys from Monty Python and The Holy Grail. Psychomantis was also so awesome to the point where you had to switch to the 2nd controller port.

On a more serious note, i'd probably stick with the same answer i gave to a similar boss-related question.

Wesker, through and through. He's the ultimate badass because he always keeps coming back, and no-one can pull off those matrix-esque moves without looking like a cheap knockoff. Wesker's suave enough that he can get away with anything.

I was so going to say Gruntilda when I read the title of this thread. She's so brutal.

I would have to say Bongo Bongo from the Shadow Temple in Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, yeah he played a bongo while you fought him but he was nothing but 2 severd hands and had a glowing red eye/face? was cool and scary as hell when i first fought him

The End from MGS3.

Very intense sniper duel as you both try to track each other; the End using his parrot, Snake using thermal goggles and directional microphone. The End is pretty fast, but old age does have its drawbacks as the End sometimes falls asleep during the battle. And if you turn off the console and wait for a couple of days the End will have died of old age.
Amazing battle.
