problem is, the people who think about the double negative usually think of the triple negative, and since it's a wide-known fact (admitted by sauron himself in his biography "a million little rings to rule them all", evil never goes to the fourth and beyond...

and the people who wont think of the double negative will never suspect pure cuteness to be anything but evil!
