Dudes, the chinstrap is so low in the beard hierarchy it's not even considered a beard anymore. The Amish wear it specifically because it sucks so much.

I smell jealousy. It is a tangy odor, like italian salad dressing, and it is oozing from your pores.

What is it with people and chin straps these days? Everyone seems to have one, I had one for a while but recently grew the mustache back just because so many other people had the same beard. It's like its the new neck beard amoung nerds.

I actually discovered the chin strap by acident, I used to have a huge mustache but then had to shave it off because I was taking up scuba diving. I had two choices, shave it or cover it in vaseline...
Turns out I liked it with out the mustache, makes it look like my face isn't quite being swamped by hair as much any more. I'e grown it back but I keep it far shorter, buzz it off at a 2 every few days. I should get a picture up on here: old chin strap.

@Zeeky_Santos: I was going to let your post slide, but since you want to go on a tirade about how repulsive my physical appearance is, let me just say this: If everyone looked exactly the same (i.e. their beard color matched their hair) then this world would be a very boring place. Also, you seem to be under the misguided impression that I created this thread so people could judge my looks. Not so. This topic was created to let bearded men from all over the forum share a common interest.

If you, Banana, and wc alligator are just here to rip on people, maybe you guys should find a different thread.

@fullbleed: The chinstrap gets so much bad rep. It is essentially the first building block for every beard. Having said, I envy your soul patch.
