Have you gotten the new Beatles album? Not if you haven't traveled to another dimension you haven't. After stumbling upon the news of a "supposed" new Beatles album from the drunk tank, I learned one of the craziest story's ever.

http://thebeatlesneverbrokeup.com/

The link above will take you to "The Beatles never Broke up.com" The story their is a far fetched tail of how a man travels to another dimension to find the new Beatles album.

The kicker?

It is all aparently true. The story is very long so I suggest you read it their.

On the site are downloads to get the songs from the album. Now I have not personally not downladed them, but they are aparently safe for download as Burnie from the drunk tank played it over the airwaves. The song I listened to actually sounds like what a new Beatles album would sound like.

You can contact the man if you like as he has his email their.

I think its a crock of shit as the emails asking the questions are easily answered with answers like "Its not a cover band because their are none in that universe".

Read the story, discuss, listen. What do you think.

The Beatles obviously didn't break up, it's not like The Beatles Rock Band game was just a way for the surviving members to cash in on it and boost album sales within a new generation. That would just be silly.

I'm pretty sure that this is real. I visit parallel worlds all the time, just the other day I found myself in a really messed up parallel world where everyone was playing a game called Modern Warfare 2. It's like the whole FPS fad never died out in 1997.

Aww don't tempt me with such things. I want it to be true. But John and George died. *sniff* so they can never get back together

The only Beatles history I have is Thomas the Tank and the Fab Four being my main team in the original Worms.

I really want the dimensions thing to be true though, but that's because I'm a nerd.

Hmm I think he's just trying to get some play for his Beatles soundalike band. Watch him change his tune quicksmart and demand royalties if a record label picks up his tape and starts trying to sell it. Which won't happen because it stinks.

A fair bit of effort has gone into making this and trying to get it sounding "modern yet Beatles". For the most part they've done quite well, but the BIG area of slip-up is the vocals, which are CRAP, and give the game away completely. Those vocalists don't sound very much like John and Paul and they definitely don't have the same songwriting sensibilities. The vocals melodies sound so un-Beatleish it's not funny. Discounting all other factors, this is not a Beatles recording for that reason alone, and even if it is, boy they've sure gone downhill. Even "Mull Of Kintyre" is better than any of this. There's plenty of other things wrong with the vocals though. The audio compression is all wrong, the ends of words trail away etc... an amateurish job. The mix is funny too - I refuse to believe that people with such collossal egos as Paul McCartney and John Lennon would consent to having their main vocal lines buried so low in the mix. If there's one characteristic of all Beatles recordings at every stage of their career, it's upfront vocals high in the mix with frequent vocal harmonies and multiple singers doing lead vocals. Of course the vocals are "buried" slightly to hide the fact that it isn't really John Lennon. Also don't tell me that in the parallel univerase John Lennon is the only one who sings and he does this quasi-Radiohead "woo-ooooo-oo" bullshit, and shithouse tag-team messy fugal-style harmonies. If so I'm sure glad I'm stuck in this universe where The Beatles broke up before they started sounding this shit.
