Digging the new hair on Erin.
Um...while I can't guarantee it, I'm pretty sure that's not Erin...unless she's suddenly got different hair, a different eye color, a different face, and different friends.
That must mean...

ERIN'S A TIME LORD!

That actually explains a lot, including why she doesn't seem to mesh well with human society. Previously, I just assumed it was because she was a critic.

To be fair, all chiros are terrible. People, don't use spine wizards. Even those that mean well are some of the worst humans alive. There's no such thing as subluxations. And in the "what's the worst that could happen?" stakes, unlike utterly hopeless shit like homeopathy, chiro can cause strokes. So there's that. Stay away. Don't give people with fake medical qualifications money. Stick to science

Was anyone else assuming he was a chiropractor or at least some kind of doctor from the first panel?

I've got to ask if this joke is directed at Riddick movie with the whole (as Movie Bob put it) "I'm going to fuck you straight" part about the only female protagonist? That's what vibe I'm getting from this comic, which...I wholeheartedly agree that it's totally bullshit attitude. People really, really need to get over their trying to push their moral and/or sexual values onto other people. It's down right rude, let alone being egotistical nonsense.

Gay or straight, people are people are human beings. Stop treating them like the fucking plague!

Curved Spines verses Straight spines?

Why not take a third option to the ones implied?

If slouching means your spine bends forward, and sitting up straight takes too much energy, then why not splay yourself over your keyboard so that your spine bends backwards as your belly hangs bellow you and you can rest your head up on your elbows? The only problem I see with this is that your ass pokes out like you're presenting, and you look like you're flirting with your webcam. And it you're doing it over a school desk, you almost look like you're paying attention.

...

I really wish I had the guts to try and interpret this in Sexuality terms, but this sounds screwed up enough without trying to butcher it to make it a Metaphor.

Well, my powers of deduction and/or basic observation have totally failed me....

I had no idea that was supposed to be Erin Trout until I read the comments... (I actually really like the character design, regardless of who it actually is!)

And for some reason I thought you guys had done a self inserted gender swop and that somehow Grey had a catastrophic day at a chiropractor.

I'll keep my insane brain on a tighter leash in future.

As always lads, fantastic work!

Straight spine? Curved spine? All that matters is that you choose a side: after all, you wouldn't want to be called spineless.

Is that a reference to Riddick or have Cory or Grey had an embarrassing time recently? You're supposed to keep your clothes on at the chiro, guys..
Considering the "fucked straight" thing that Bob mentioned about Riddick is a flat out lie on his part, I think it may just be a silly joke this week with their seemingly standard sexism theme.
I haven't seen the movie - what was the lie? She's not a lesbian or something?

OT: Was that supposed to be Erin? I'm confused.

I'm going back through some old comics since I still can't sleep.

While a belated response this seems to be in response to the PC uproar over Vin Diesel's latest Riddick movie where a female character claiming to be a Lesbian at one point (who may or may not be being honest about it, this has been debated given how the scenes go, she could have just been shooting some guy down) winds up being taken in by Riddick's sex appeal and winds up with him.... to explain it in brief. The basic argument from the politically correct crowd that want to see her as a Lesbian is that this is some macho thing where a guy basically manages to F@ck a lesbian straight, and the argument from the PC crowd that sexuality doesn't work that way. I guess Bob went off on a rant about it in his review of the movie, but it's been said a few other places. I've seen a few rousing discussions about it in MMO chats and such but nothing particularly in depth.

My personal attitudes aside, I don't see any huge deal here either way. To be honest it seems like the PC/Liberal side of things looking for a gay rights fight wherever they can get one for the attention. I say this because I've noticed there is no real issue being made in the media when a homosexual "flips" a straight person. Something that's come up in soaps before with someone's spouse leaving them for a member of the same gender. "Desperate Housewives" had an entire episode revolving around the gay couple in the neighborhood and how one of them was an expert at seducing straight guys and went by the nickname "Flipper" in college, and during a spat with his partner was hanging out with Carlos leading to some concern both from his wife and the gay boyfriend that he was working towards trying to turn him.

The point is that all of the above is fine, and nobody seems to get upset about it. I mean heck, I'm hardly pro-gay and I don't go on a warpath or anything from the other side. Yet when you see a movie where someone who might be gay is "turned" it's a big deal worthy of outrage and mockery? Sure some people can make arguments about this kind of flipping happening with people who was already bi-curious, but at the end of the day if some dude's wife can leave him for another woman and nobody is going to make a big thing about this, why can't a lesbian potentially meet the right
guy and decide to be with him instead? What's more we're not just talking any guy here, we're talking a rather well built muscleman who happens to also be the most dangerous guy in his galaxy. In context, especially for a lady merc, Riddick is quite the specimen, so if she was previously into girls, but any guy was going to get her to consider changing her mind I could easily see Riddick being the guy to do it. I mean if Lardo B. Tubbs an unwashed space accountant played by Jorge Garcia did it, okay yeah... I couldn't see that at least not with enough of a lengthy build up to turn the movie from "sci-fi action" to "opposites attract romance" (and maybe not even then).

That said, even if I don't agree, the strip was a funny way of stating the opinion. :)
